Hiya, watched both videos with interest and felt your pain.
I was diagnosed with Salmonella in 1996 and then a while later started having tummy problems. Following an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy my doctor diagnosed me with IBS. What actually does annoy me sometimes is medical professionals say 'oh IBS' like it's something minor - it's not and only those with the apparent IBS (I say apparent as the medical professionals don't seem to really know what we have). I am sat here at my PC with my tummy grumbling around like mad - the condition does stop me doing some things I love i.e. I love power walking and the last power walk marathon I did I ended up suffering a huge amount and ended up poorly for around a week!
Well done to you with what you have been through and coming out so positive - you are an inspiration!
Hi first off thank you so much!! And i agree its so discouraging how the doctors act like it's nothing, when clearly they just don't understand what it is. Hopefully they'll discover something that will help soon!
Emily
Hi Emily and sorry for not replying sooner - it's been a mad couple of weeks! It is very discouraging how the doctors treat this as very minor when clearly it's not, they also seem to be at a loss as to what is the matter so use the 'label' IBS. You were amazing in your videos and I found you very positive. Agree that hopefully help will be found very soon. Best of luck for you and the future.
