Does anybody know if black currants are a high fodmap fruit, I know blackberries are but it does not say about black currants?

I don't quite understand the fodmap thing entirely. I did it for a month, no result. It says one can eat grapes as much as you like, but in my case they give me IBS-D very badly, in fact I get IBS C-D!! Also raspberries bad reaction.

the reason it leaves foods out is because they haven't done testing on those particular food items as yet.

I'm on week 4 of FODMAP diet with mixed results. But largely better than before, I have IBSD. In my booklet blackberries aren't mentioned but you can have Robins. Grapes are ok but you have to limit to 10 for a portion.

Sorry wrote that in haste this morning have just reread it & realised I'd I'd made a mistake & predictive text hadn't helped either! :) I meant BLACKCURRANTS aren't mentioned, but I can have Ribena. Put in down to another senior blond moment ;)

Thanks for the reply to my question yesterday guys. I think the fodmap is just a guide as a start to releaving the symptoms of IBS, as for you woodgut8, As you know it's a case of trying different foods, I hope you finds the right ones.
