hi im young girl 23 had stomach problems for last 2 years... doc thinks its ibs.. have a iron and b12 deficency to anyone else have this?

I had similar symptoms eventually tested for coeliac disease which it turned out I did indeed have. Would highly recommend you request this test from your gp

I also had these symptoms and would recommend you ask your gp to test you for coeliac disease as this is eventually what I was diagnosed with.

Hiya Tasha I also have a b12 deficiency , I used to have injections every month. I have been put on tables now 4 a day, but I still feel tired all the time. I also have IBS which I've had for years. I feel for you love as your only young to have both these problems. X

i had tablets for b12 had to take 3 a day but been told to stop taking them x

I think you need to have more tests - bloodtests, especially to either diagnose or eliminate ceoliac disease - also scoping at the hospital will also eliminate problems, like cancer and diverticulitis etc.

Only after having all these tests was I diagnosed with 'symptoms consistent with IBS'.

Go back to your GP and discuss this further
