Does anyone have its without diarrhea or constipation? I am pretty regular, but have gas in the tummy esp after dinner.

i have for nearly 2 years now, dont use onions in food and try lactose free milk not soya,,,im afraid stress is part of my issues denied it in the first but possible

Yes I have had ibs for about year and no diarrhea or constipation except for feeling of over fullness and bloating after eating usually only pm or evening ( this can be seen as form of constipation but I have no problem with bms.) Had stomach pain to start this is now rare. As is so often stated ibs is simply a description of any kind of bowel or digestive malfunction and given when other investigations have found nothing detectable. It can cover many symptoms but these are obviously real and cause discomfort and distress.

How long did it take for the stomach pain to resolve?

I think that it diminished after a few months. I was on the fodmaps diet for a couple of months and still partially on it now. If I get very stressed I get some stomach pain but it usually goes in an hour of two. I do not really know if it was diet related- some people can determine which foods trigger reactions I have never been able to do that.

Would you say you feel "normal" for the most part? How long ago were you diagnosed with IBS?
