Have a doctor feel that area. When my Gyno couldn't feel my ribs it was an enlarged spleen. But if you can feel your rib cage it's probably not that .

hi jenjenny. that is common with a lot of ibs sufferers, i myself get the feeling that there's a tennis ball trying to push its way out of my stomach eif i eat something i'm intolerant too,[ ie,wheat ,veg ,,fruit , rice, pasta , corn , rye, and gluten free products ] i have been told its where the intestines connect to each other and to do deep massage in that area.[not by doc] by acupuncturist. there are similar post to yours on this site it might be worth a look at .

Hi jenjenny I have the same problem but on the right side. They recon at the moment. Just like a tennis ball stuck there with a burning pain, had scans but all clear. It's a nightmare trying to live with it .

I suffer a similar (always)left side pain everyday....it varies in intensity from dull/barely noticeable to debilitating. I'm on low Fodmaps, take a daily probiotic and recently had an inconclusive test for coeliac (more to follow!).

In another thread, I found a name for that condition, which I can't remember now--oh yes, splenic flexure syndrome. Google it with images. Nothing to do with spleen but poor colon is twisted and trying to push against itself.

Yes, under my right rib right now. Is everything better for you now?
