Yes, I did it! I bought the gut directed hypnotherapy package of mp3's and loved it! It certainly helped with my anxiety. Of course, I still have the occasional bad day, but things have greatly improved! Good luck! No worries, it's not scary at all! Relax and enjoy it!

I purchased mine through ibsselfhelp.com. It's Heather's site. I bought it years ago...maybe 4 years ago now? The set was on sale for $80.00. The man who does the hypnotherapy is excellent. His name is Michael Mahoney.

I did the hypnotherapy in person for the same price. It was fine. But for me, I found that I needed longer-term treatment and this package is both cost-effective, in my opinion, and you don't have to leave your house! I would listen to it at night as I was drifting off to sleep and it was *so* relaxing! Personally, I loved it:) Do let us know how things turn out for you. I would interested in your opinion after you complete the program.

I have had reflexology and this helps with the anxiety

I also have found that a competely dairy free diet keeps my diarrhorea symptoms under control

I use Alpro soya milk and their plain yoghurt (I believe that they now have flavoured yogs but I prefer plain) and Pure sunflower spread. I use the soya milk and Pure spread in anything that would use a milk based product - my husband can't tell any difference when used like that - although he still has a different spread.

One of my weaknesses was cheese but you just have to 'bite the bullet' and stick to what keeps you healthy so that you can enjoy your life - we are lucky we have a non life threatening problem

Sounds worth a shot I think I'll replace my milk as don't eat much butter

You are right it's not life threatening just it rules my life I can't travel :(

Many Thanks x

Anyone with the diarrhorea symptoms has the same problem but if you can find out what the cause is it's easier

I don't think we all have the same symptoms I know people with IBS D. As I do and have different ones than me the consultant in the hospital said that too

Mines linked to travelling so it's more aniexty some peoples are food related

in reply toWoome

There are different symptoms and causes for the IBS - my last dcotor said I was very lucky to have found the cause of mine as many people never do !!!!

I've also done the Michael Mahoney hypnotherapy tapes. Excellent - he has his own website by the way. I also found that soya upsets me but lactose free milk is Ok. Tesco have milk cheese yogurt and butter. I also use oat milk and cream or almond milk. Good luck with trying different things.
