I have suffered from IBS for nearly 10 years and have managed to control it through diet and medicine. Since I became pregnant I have had symptoms every few weeks. Sometimes it lasts a day and sometimes a week or two. Thank-fully the medicine I have I can still take during my pregnancy, but it doesn’t help as much as before I became pregnant. I normally have an idea of what the trigger is, but I have no idea what it is now. Having had it for so long I have just been managing it myself although I did speak to my doctor before I started taking the medicine. I have since made a Doctor appointment. I guess I feel like I have hit a wall with it and don’t know what else I can do. Thank-you in advance for any help or advice.

Perhaps your best bet would be to ask your GP for an appointment with a dietitian. I control my IBS with the low-FODMAP diet, but I'm not sure how suitable this would be as you're pregnant.
