I recently came off two conflicting calls with two gynaecologist consultants. One said they recommend I go on the pill for my adenomyosis and endometrosis as it’s progressive and I can stop the growth of more endo. The other consultant said it doesn’t and it’s more to help with the symptoms management and pain.
I also have a cardiac health issue and so would be limited to mini pill , I am awaiting to hear from pregnancy risks with cardiac issue . The most recent calm the consultant for gyno said if I’m planning to try get pregnant in 6 months there’s no point going on the pill as it takes a while to kick in for symptoms .
The research for adenomyosis seems to suggest it’s progressive . The research on endo seems to say it can me progressive or static . So I am torn on whether to do nothing or take the pill.
