Hi hope everyone is feeling okay!

My gynae is due to call me this afternoon. I went last July and was placed on a double pill for ‘3 months’ and go for follow up but haven’t heard nothing till now .. which is fine as I’m understanding to the pandemic. However these last few months I just progressively am getting worse. Worse pain.. more often and more bleeds!

Does anybody have a burning kind of sensation in the shoulder blade on a flare up? I’m experiencing this but don’t know if it’s linked but I’ve tracked it and only happens when I’m having a flare up?

Also what questions could I ask gynae as when ever I speak to them I feel like ima. Dog and just obey their rules.

I really need the laparoscopy done because I’ve not had my diagnosis 100% yet ... also have a sister condition called adenomyosis so I feel if they confirm endo it’s a weight lifted and hopefully cut it out while they’re there ? How can I possibly push this more then I have

I’m Also awaiting endo diagnosis and I have that shoulder pain too during in a flare, from reading comments on here I’ve saw other women have too. make sure you mention that and mention any other symptoms you can think of as many as you can! I was recently told by a friend who went through a similar thing that when you speak to the doctor tell them the pain from one of your worst days, describe it in detail try to be precise, as a lot of the time doctors can miss things that connect it all together. As for pushing the laparoscopy .. just tell them you want one due to pain and peace of mind and hopefully (fingers crossed) they agree

Sorry that’s pretty much all the advice I have as I haven’t even had my first gynaecologist appointment yet.

Wishing you luck! :)

Thankyou for the reply! I had a lap back in feb due to ovarian cyst but a gynae doc didn’t do the op it was a basic surgeon in main hospital... so when I come out of recovery I asked did you see endo and there surgeon said ‘I’m not experienced in that field if it was there I wouldn’t of known’ so getting another one done by a specialist is proving difficult. I’m glad you’ve mentioned the same pain! I’ve always wondered why it was ?

I’m really confused to why they didn’t just get a gynae doc to do it/ be in the room in the first place? As they’ve just made you wait and suffer even longer. I’m the same as you, I’ve never really pushed a doctor just nodded and agreed but after an experience two weeks ago I’ll never leave until I get what I want. I was prescribed something from a doctor at the hospital but the mg on the prescription was wrong so I couldn’t collect it, I kept it as I had a doctors appointment a few days later so when I asked my gp to rewrite it for me she looked at me and said “ that’s only prescribed for people who need it, for people who are in a lot of pain”. I left without but within 2 days I got so much worse and was bed ridden, I got a telephone call with another gp who prescribed the same exact thing straight away.

Seriously push for what you want! Not for what they think is best, I really hope they do it for you!

Honestly I couldnt say why, but I’ve read a lot of women get lower back pain, middle back pain and even shoulder pain, I get all 3 weirdly just didn’t realise they all linked to one thing. Before joining this website I was sure it was a pulled shoulder muscle every month even tho I didn’t do anything to it 😂

My gynae team refused treatment for me (cyst) as it was only 4.5 cm so when they surgeon requested a gynae doctor they refused for the 4th time so the surgeon said we can see your in a lot of pain so my team will go forward with the lap as it was on my right ovarian so wasn’t sure if it was was appendix playing up or the cyst. Turns out the cyst was leaking into my pelvis 🙄 yeah I just find them so stubborn they keep pushing me to have coil but hormones don’t agree with my body nor do they seem to make an impact.. my bloated belly is something on another level🙈 being a woman is never glamorous 😂! But yes mines usually lower back and legs and my shoulder but it’s just like a hotness and when I touch it it’s like numb? But I do get pins and needles in shoulders sometimes

That’s ridiculous!! How could they just leave you!! 4 times! I’m honestly shocked. I’m so glad they did that surgery for you. Don’t worry you’re not alone on the bloated belly 😂 I’ve been considering maternity clothes just for the extra comfort 😂 I get pins and needles too! I assumed that was my fibromyalgia! It’s so weird that one condition can cause so many symptoms!

Seriously hoping your appointment today goes well! X
