Hi,
Newbie here, though I’ve had a brain tumour since December 2012.
Originally it was misdiagnosed as a GBM4 but since my original NO retired and I was taken off the TMZ I had been on for about 8 years, suddenly a new patch of interest was found in the periphery of the original.
This, finally turned out to be an Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma grade 3 which, although still cancerous, was a lot less dreadful than previously thought.
So that was the reason for my apparent longevity.
Anyway, I am now medically retired though still miss the camaraderie of my old life.
I am deeply depressed and can only speak to my wife about it, and that really only recently.
Up until November last year, I had reapplied, and got back, my driving licence, was driving and had some semblance of normality. Now this second tumour struck me - I was only speaking to my wife about it earlier on today and we both agreed that since this recurrence we have had very, very little input and very little knowledge of what exactly we’re dealing with (perhaps we can only blame ourselves for that).
Anyway, I need to change all that, so will ask my team what exactly we’re dealing with here.
Thank you for letting me introduce myself.
Stuart
