I had a right frontal lobe meningioma removed in 2014.. Surgeon told me it was text book procedure and no further treatment required, just yearly MRI scans.
Recent one done with contrast August 30th has shown another slow growing tumour.
I’m waiting to speak with my Neurosurgeon next week to find out more details but am really scared now...
any thoughts would be appreciated please

It can be really scary when they see a change in your mri, especially as you've had several years clear. All you can really do is wait to see what they say, you were strong before and you can be strong again.
They debulked mine and a cyst has basically taken up that room instead, its heartbreaking to hear news like that i know.
Crossing everything for you, always here to talk or be vented at if you need it
Thank you, that means a lot... you mentioned a cyst, I have also had a cyst come up on the back of my head, my GP gave me antibiotics and it seems to have gone down, I’m wondering if this is related ...
Mine is internal and would have to be drain if it becomes a problem but crossing my fingers for now. Glad to hear the antibiotics are helping, hopefully that will sort it.
Hi, yes it’s very worrying while waiting on details and over thinking, but your Neurosurgeon will know what’s best for you. You’ve been 6 years free, you’ve done it before, and you will do it again, I have, but I only went 3 years on watch and wait as my nodule of enhancement (2nd tumour) showed on my 1st scan after my craniotomy. Don’t overthink, just go with loads of questions next week and we are all here for you. No question is silly, please ask. Stay positive and strong, you will do this.
That’s a question to ask your neurosurgeon next week, thankfully I have a great neurosurgeon who I completely trust, everything he says he explains the reasons behind it, but it’s our own decision what we want to do. I chose to have a 2nd craniotomy as I felt it was my best option from his explanations of treatments. My 1st op was over 9 hours, don’t know how long my 2nd op was, but it was definitely shorter and I was home 3 days after my op. Just remember take each day as it comes, everyone has a different story to tell, be guided by the experts and as Wolfie04 says “don’t worry until you know what you are worrying about. Stay safe x
Hi. Through all of my own health issues my sister has repeatedly “repeated“ 😳 not to worry about something until you have something to worry about. It sounds simple and an easy way to think. Unfortunately it is easier said than done! I think we all know that once we are in the unfortunate position of being under this level of care, we seem to have a lifetime ahead of us of meds, check ups and where needed treatment. We’ve got more chance now of having a positive treatment plan and living our version of a normal life. Clever people these medical types. It’s a shock to you to these results but you must keep focused and wait till you’re armed with all the facts. It’s the only way you can deal with this! I should listen sometimes to my own advice but I can give it but I don’t take it. I’m just looking at weather forecast. Should be fine. Is it possible that you can get outside?Fresh air walk and really any distraction for you to get the next few days over with until your next phase of medical care. You are not going to do yourself any good! Snooze, snack, chill out but pls don’t overthink this. Worry if/when you’ve got something to worry about! Harsh but true! I’ve got a check up MRI next week! I’ve obviously thought about it and it’s consequences but I’m tired of thinking about this. I’ll just deal with it when I have too. Got no other choice! Take care and take each day as it comes. 🍀🌸🍀
All the very best, we are all praying for you. As all the other posts - don’t worry till you know what it is. Hang in there you did this many years back & if it comes you can again! But till you know just rest & enjoy life!
Hi I had a large benign Meningioma removed after 11 hour surgery. Five years ago. Next MRI next month but I’ve been having balance, memory and depression problems. Did you have any symptoms before the new findings on your scan?
