Hello Joseph- no this should not be a problem to you in anyway. Once you have been treated for active TB. it will not be held against you..

Thank you for your reply.now I feel some confidence

Dr Joseph....... surprising though it may seem hardly any doctors in the UK 'know' about the technicalities of TB. I say this because I have latent TB and sometimes it is not so latent. I had scarring to both lung fields in 1978 proving a previous TB infection. Since 2013 it has been reported to me that there is no scarring on my lungs with CT scans with contrast.

It is proven that no one ever read my TB history since 1978. Even a few weeks ago a heart doctor said in my country(Pakistan) we have much experience and see many people who are always very ill if they have TB......

My reply to him was that until facts are proven it's best to keep an open mind and especially on complex subjects such as TB.

There is still a lot of mumbo jumbo bandied about re TB but the day will come when the PCR test is widely used and also the Actiphage blood test developed by a professor here in Nottingham.

The disturbing thing about TB is that if a person has latent TB although the evidence is right there on their medical record that important data is ignored on far too many occasions and especially if the person with the record shows symptoms that suggest the TB has come back to infect the person.

It is said that a person with an inactive pulmonary scarring is not contagious but who is to say that will not remain that way?

Not what you're looking for?
