I'm sorry not to have the answer you probably want to hear - but avoiding going to appointments due to knowing your weight is dropping - and already being at a low BMI - is not the answer - its avoiding the issue - you may feel great - but clearly the doctors don't and your family see things differently - EDs are mind controlling and persuade you that you are OK when you are not - so please take the advice of your family and doctor and get some help.
Really sorry to hear you’re struggling and don’t want to go to your appointments.
You say you aren’t unwell, but you need to ask yourself, would a well person avoid the dr it there was no issue? If you were well you’d have nothing to fear so wouldn’t mind going. The fact that you are scared of going due to losing more weight highlights the fact that you know this is wrong as you fear being judged by the drs.
Please, please don’t give up on yourself, it might seem really frustrating having to be held to account, but the drs and your family are only doing it because they care and want you to be well. Take the opportunity to do all you can to get better, it might feel like the whole world is against you but it’s the Ed, not the world. Good luck with the dr & I really hope you can find a way back to recovery x x
Thank you for your reply, I went to the doctors yesterday so back in the system and she is concerned about my weight and talking ip but we will see what happens.
