I remember this happening. The sad thing is people look on to an eating disorder and just don't get it. It's really tough. Your friend will still be your friend just not in the way that will make their parents mad. you can not influence someone to have an eating disorder so it's rubbish... You just have to stay strong, do what your doing. don't be mad at your friend... be mad at the parents!! You don't need them around anyway xxx
As a parent of an anorexic daughter I can understand why your friends parents said what they did. They are frightened and think that it will protect their daughter. Parents struggle with anorexia...it's a hard disease to understand. I know I struggled.(tomagcro.com). Don't blame them. Work on your recovery. If you can confide in your friend do so. If you can be honest with parents even better. God bless.
