I am considering going off Zytiga/Prednisone to determine if I am castrate resistant.
I am considering going off
Zytiga
/Prednisone to determine if I am castrate resistant, and wondering if it would be a safe/prudent thing to do. My dx was Sept. 2018, stage 4 with both SV’s, pelvic lymph nodes, and pelvic bone met.

I have doubts from PA that Zytiga is working
SO is on Lupron ,
Zytiga
and Xgeva. The
Zytiga
(1000 MG) with Xygeva were both added 4 months after Lupron.

ZYTIGA (abiraterone acetate) vs Mylan's generic abiraterone vs Yonsa
Yonsa contains the same active ingredient of
Zytiga
, also used to treat prostate cancer. Abiraterone acetate is converted in the body to abiraterone." Yonsa and
Zytiga
have different dosing and food effects. https://www.drugs.com/medical-answers/difference-between-yonsa-

After 2 surgeries, many radiation treatments,
Zytiga
, and the past 3 months of Xofigo the doctor has informed us the Derek’s cancer has taken a very aggressive turn. He has a tumor in each lung and several in his liver, along with a lot more Mets throughout his bones.

Here again I ask why doesn’t my dads urologist offer Xofigo?
offer him the treatment of xofigo I’m wondering why that is he does have Mets to the bone humerus bone in femur bone but he says that it’s because he’s not in that much pain so any ideas or thoughts on the reason why he wouldn’t put my dad on Xofigo Yes PSA is on the rise Lupron Zgeva Provange

Zytiga Reaction?
Zytiga
Reaction. I had been in
Zytiga
for 18 months with no issues. Changed to the generic and my legs started to swell requiring lasixs. So I switched back. Now I have hive like symptoms on my buttocks and torso which has blistered and cracked. Any advice?

Question about timing Zytiga dosage
I would appreciate thoughts on the subject of timing
Zytiga
and prednisone dosage. They said take prednisone with a meal. Thanks

Let me introduce myself.
I was then treated intermittently with Lupron (and for a period of time, with
Zytiga
too). For the last 2 years or so, I have been taking only the Lupron and have been doing so on a continuous basis. I have a follow up next week and hope to find out that the Lupron is still effective for me.

Zytiga working but
My
zytiga
seems to be working. In one year PSA has gone from 1230 to 0.48. Alk Phos from 782 to 106. Now tests are showing low RBC and low hemoglobin, they suspect blood loss somewhere. Is drop in those counts normal with treatment?

Crossroads after failed Lu-177
He has refused
Zytiga
, saying he cannot tolerate the side effects, doctors have put him on Honovan and say if at all (which they seem to be saying is less likely) his general condition improves- they could restart him on
zytiga
, book him for actinium infusions or cabazitaxel.

Zytiga and PSA
Armstrong in March, but he couldn't make a call on what to do because he said they don't even look at the PSA for 90 days after starting
Zytiga
. Our local oncologist was happy with the 6.4, but we haven't gone back yet since the 6.1.

Next line of treatment: too many options
Option 1: Move forward with the standard next line of treatment,
Zytiga
or Xtandi. Option 2: Try and be a part of clinical trial EA8153 (https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03419234) with placement in one of two groups. Group A has Jevtana and
Zytiga
simultaneously. Group B just gets
Zytiga
.

Sedentary 75 year old
oncologist started
zytiga
+ prednisone in January 2018, psa now 0.24. The moral of the story “ GP’s if in doubt pay to see an expert”. I just wish that I had visited this group 4 years ago.

Update on my disease: <0.1 PSA today
Added
Zytiga
and prednisone early-May. Long term ADT 2 to 3 years planned. - image-guided IMRT, 38 treatments, started April, finished June 18. That brings us to today. I feel extremely lucky to have such a good result at this point.

Diethylstilbestrol when faced with "economic constraint".
We see so many posts on
Zytiga
, Xtandi & even more expensive drugs. This study is from Lahore, Pakistan & reports on DES [Diethylstilbestrol] use in CRPC cases.

Today was a good day!
Also, I am still taking 1000mg. of
Zytiga
+10mg. of prednisone daily. I changed my diet, added BIRM and some supplements. I pray and others pray for me. The Oncologist said that the recent petscan did not pick up any cancer in my body. I asked about my big rectal tumor.

Participation in Trial ADT+SRT
ADT for 6 months consisting of Lupron +
Zytiga
(Abiraterone) w Prednazone + Etealda (Apalutamide). SRT starts in 6 weeks. While I’m hopeful this aggressive treatment will successful, I’m concerned about the side effects by this combo of treatment. The literature is scary.
