Asthma Denial
So today when I went for a follow up app with my resp Dr he told me that I have severe allergic asthma /brittle asthma and that he is going to refer me to an asthma specialist with a view to have
xolair
injections but in the meantime putting me on a maintenance dose of pred to see if it helps.

4th admission!
One good thing though, Consultant happy to continue with
Xolair
as he feels this admission is a ‘blip’! #winning Liz

Another bad hospital admission.
I’m on
Xolair
still and a little worried that my consultant will just want to continue with the
xolair
despite the overwhelming evidence that it isn’t working. Anyone got any tips on how to get my consultant to listen to the fact that my medication isn’t working.

Triggers in non-allergic asthma
So, I'm pretty sure I have non-allergic asthma given I can never muster enough IgE for
Xolair
and also kept getting negative allergy tests.

Switching from Xolair to Nucala
Has anyone switched from
Xolair
to Nucala and noticed a considerable change in their allergies? I have allergic asthma, but the
Xolair
wasn't working anymore, so I switched to Nucala which is helping my asthma but my allergies are horrible now. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Mepolizumab / Nucala ... fatigue?
I had my second jab a couple of weeks ago after getting worse on
Xolair
and am now wrestling with myself whether to take a course of oral steroids. Don't want to, but symptoms have flared up again these past few days. Initially, I felt better after this second shot.

2nd Xolair Injections
Well I'm now on month 2 of the
Xolair
injections and I have to say, so far so blooming good! No Ventolin used now for almost a month, and on 2 x 2 puffs of Foster daily, as well as Montekulast.

Freedom!
Also as I managed to stay stable over the weekend I whizzed along to clinic this morning and had my first
xolair
injection! Hopefully this is day 1 of starting to regain some control!

My story
I was on
xolair
for a while but it stopped working for me so they took me off. Its hard to even go to church worrying if I will have an asthma attack because on of my triggers is perfumes and those kind of smells which is kind of hard to avoid which I have to wear a mask.

Bring on the xolair!
So I FINALLY have the ok to start
xolair
and should be starting it on the 23rd! Woooooo! I’ll have to have injections every 2 weeks but compared to hospital every month I’m more than willing to go along with that if it helps!

Xolair update
So, I had the injection - for it to be 4! One in each arm and each leg. I'd managed to work myself into a right old panic about it, but it was absolutely fine. All was explained to me fully, armed with epi pens now at all times, and so far - no ill effects! Thank you for all your messages of support

Wooooooooooo!
So I got the phone call this morning to say that the MDT have agreed to give me a trial of
xolair
to try and reduce my steroid dose (and gain some control!).

Does anyone on
Xolair
know what I should do? I have my next injection on Friday; if I’m on antibiotics do I need to cancel? What if it viral and none are given?

Yay! (Sort of 😅🤞)
🤞 now exams are over my lungs will truely start to behave as no stress and no allergies (I’ve had a big improvement since starting
Xolair
but multiple attacks due to illness, weather and exams/results).

any suggestions?
First sign of warm weather this week and my lungs are burning and taking extra Salbutamol yet the hospital won't put me on
Xolair
as my FEV1 is slightly above 80%. My PF never budges below 570 no matter how ill I feel.
