Asthma beaten! Running again after 4 weeks off!
I went out armed with
ventolin
& did a familiar route about 4k. It was very slow but I didn't need to stop . I'm just so very relieved that the buff worked & I had no asthma symptoms - in fact my breathing always seems to improve when I get into the run.

Just been told that Drs will no longer be prescribing Ventolin
Hi there, Just joined today after going for my flu jag, and being told by the practise nurse, who is also my asthma nurse that they have been told to stop prescribing
Ventolin
as it is no longer effective and as I only use
ventolin
that if I have an asthma attack it won't do anything.

Annoying Whistle.
As the inhalers (Fostair &
Ventolin
) don't get rid of it. I noticed when taking Fostair 200 without a spacer and it was "hitting" my throat more, the wheeze would go temporarily. Anyone else have/had this? I'm also on Fexofenadine for allergies.

Hello everyone I'm new here. On steroids for flare up not sure why but side effects are terrible this time. Do others find there reaction to
I was given the usual inhalers
Ventolin
and a preventer (which I can't remember now!) and everything was very well controlled. In fact, after several months I stopped using both inhalers and everything seemed to be fine. I had a couple of triggers back then cat hair and pollen being the main ones.

Expired ventolin inhaler ok to use?
Gradually took less and less medication as it hasn’t been bothering me at all (except occasionally when I get a cold and I just use my
ventolin
as and when I feel I need it) Anyway, tonight my chest feels tight and I’m finding it hard to catch my breath (I have a cold) and have dug out a

Not sure if I have asthma or not?
I was prescribed
Ventolin
. I have also suffered from rhinosinusitis all of my life. I underwent surgery for this around 10 years ago. In around the year 2006, I was troubled by breathlessness, a cough, profound fatigue alongside nasal/sinus symptoms.

One sided chest pain
So after posting on here the other day and receiving useful advice (used the expired
ventolin
for the night and got a new one from the doc the following day) I’m back posting again for (hopefully) some more advice....

Respiratory hot clinic asthma care (first time beyond GP care)
Taking regualr
ventolin
4 hourly or more if necessary. I know the plan is to look at my asthma plan, inhaler technique, and discuss history. What is next I am wondering? I need to be back in control of my asthma not it in control of me.

Fostair with a spacer
I very rarely have to use my
ventolin
, maybe once a month, but when I do I use my spacer. I find it is far more effective. I don't have any issues with taking fostair, although I do find the inhalers without the dose counters easier to use - does anyone else find that to be the case?

3 year old girl cough variant asthma?
She is on centil 100mg every day twice a day and
ventolin
when needed up to 6 puffs. We have had 3 admissions to hospital due to this where she is pulling in her chest and struggling to breathe. Her triggers are mostly unknown to me but I do know when the weather changes she develops a cough.

Asthma again not since teenager. Now adult. Bit of support?
Prescribed Qvar and
Ventolin
Ventolin
really helping but having to take it 4 times a day, waiting on steroid to really start to work. Does anyone know why I have to wait 6 weeks to see an asthma nurse? Apparently I have to go back in 6 weeks.

Anyway if I’m breathless I shouldn’t be using my blue
Ventolin
inhaler as using it too much can make your asthma get out of control and very quickly! It’s quite frightening when you know more than the nurses do.
