3.5 Weeks on 75 mcg Tirosint, No Improvements, Should I Increase Now?
To all, thanks for taking a moment to read. At last check my TSH was 2.83 (range 0.450-4.500) and FT4 was 1.27 (range 0.82-1.77). Nothing else was checked because my current endo who I am ditching is a complete moron and refuses to check anything else. At any rate, while I don't feel like death warmed

To All, I had hyper after the birth of my son in 2013 and now have hypo/hashi's that I am SLOWLY working my way towards treating. I take 75 mcgs of Tirosint every day. While I realize this dosage is somewhat low, I am desperately looking for feedback on my worst symptom which is my head. When I lean

How Were You Able to Tell if Your Meds Were Working?
A bit of an odd question here, but I am wondering how you could tell that your thyroid meds were working? Did you wake up one day after several months of treatment and think "EUREKA!" Or was it more of a gradual "Hey I don't feel like poo today?" I have worked up to Tirosint 75 mcgs. Here and there

Virtual bioequivalence for achlorhydric subjects: The use of PBPK modelling to assess the formulation-dependent effect of achlorhydria
For so many years, patients have been insisting that levothyroxine tablets from different manufacturers, even different dosages from one manufacturer, have different effects on them. Now a paper which pretty clearly shows that stomach acidity is probably a significant factor. Albeit a "virtual" paper

L Tyrosine may be helpful
My next attempt at relief is to try L
Tyrosine
is a non essential amino acid that is the precursor of the neurotransmitter, dopamine.
Tyrosine
is converted into Levodihydrophenylalanine (L-Dopa) and L-Dopa is subsequently and avidly converted into dopamine.

In a real pickle
Hi guys, I'm 46, diagnosed at 31 with Hashimoto's. Was on synthroid/cytomel for all that time until this past March. I did switch from levo to brand Synthroid in March before experimenting with NDT. Great results in going to brand Synthroid. Wondered if I might feel even better on NDT as my mom had

Another example is the Akt signaling cascade (32) or the overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2/neu
tyrosine
kinase. The latter is able to boost prostate cancer growth and androgen receptor signaling independently of the androgen ligand binding to the receptor (33).

Info that might be useful to someone
We all need iodine and
tyrosine
to make t4. We need selenium to convert it to ft3. Most of us know that but I discovered I was dificient in phlenylanilin. Its the amino acid that converts to
tyrosine
. So I asked quite a few so called experts why is it im only defficient in that one, the one I need?
