Want to purchase a nebuliser not for medication but to be used for saline so can be used couple times a day to loosen mucus to bring up. Had it in hospital when had pneumonia. Anyone got one and would recommend.

This just never seems to end :(
I am SO fed up, really struggling to be cheerful today. 14 days of IV antibiotics in November, 10 days of IV ABX in December and now I have an other dose of aspiration pneumonia :( Absolutely shattered, temperature, night sweats, nausea and breathless. I just go around in circles. ARRRRRRGH. The

Hi I've had copd since 2005 and normaly manage with an symbicort turbohaler twice a day, however in Dec 12 I got pneumonia and went into orspital where they put me on a nebuliser 4 times a day. Magic thing, felt 75% better and breathing was a lot easier. Came out and got one and got ventolin nebules

Pulmonology visit-helpful but kind of upset
Hi guys, I finally went and saw my pulmonologist today, after my asthma attack that landed me in the ER on Friday. Well actually he was stuck at the hospital doing a procedure, and apparently I was better off not seeing him, as he's sick as a dog! LOL. So I saw his RN, who dragged out of me how sick

Pleurisy pain
Hi I have just got out of COSTA after five days in from a life threatening asthma attack which put me in ITU for a few hours and and close to being ventilated. It has scared me a lot but what is scaring me more is they have sent me home on nebs and morphine because I have pleurisy on my right lung.

Long Term Prednisone Trade-offs
At the end of last week my doctor proposed that I stay on 40mg of pred for another few weeks, possibly up until I see the pulmonologist at the end of February. We discussed this further today. He's not exactly excited about the idea and neither am I, but we both agreed that it was a question of trade-offs

Hello Everyone, My name is Martin and I have Stage 4 Emphysema
. I was first diagnosed in 2000.My meds are currently Symbicort 400/12 and Spiriva. Prednisone and Zithromycin when having an exacerbation. I have tried Onbrez, but it made it harder for me to breathe for at least an hour and I did not see any benefit. Also I have taken the usual Ventolin and Atrovent

A lot of things all at once
Unless something really turns around with respect to symptoms it looks like I'm going to be on prednisone at 40mg until the end of February when I see the pulmonologist. My doctor is reluctant to taper because even though I've been at 40mg for the last week, as I keep getting mild or moderate flare

Tiredness, Distraction and Medication Timetables
I'm finding myself in a bit of a catch-22 : when I am really having trouble with my asthma I tend to be very tired and sleepy and have trouble dragging myself out of bed to take medicines at specific times. Sometimes this also happens when I crash with exhaustion after a good day where I've been able

Has anyone been treated with monthly shots of pentamidine by nebuliser to protect from infection while immunity is low following chemo?
I find it makes me cough and very wheezy. Also the skin on my face seems to react and turn red and blotchy. has any one had a similar reaction? What alternative medication could I be taking instead? Any suggestions?

My father has cancer and copd - her is currently using a nebuliser to help his breathing - I think he could be assisted by oxygen but he is so independent and does not ask for help - what can I do to help him?

Frustration over GPs!
I have come onto this forum for the first time today hoping to see I'm not alone! I had to take my just-6 year old to the doctors today as she had a bad night and I was going to nebulise her but realised the nebules were out of date. I left feeling very upset and frustrated that I was once again told

Asthma, work, and bullying
Hi guys I've not been around for ages, so I hope you don't mind me having a rant and asking for your advice... I am currently working as a Staff Nurse on a very busy acute respiratory ward, full time and on 12.5 hour shifts. I have always been honest with work/Occy health with regards to my brittle
