Typical!
Hello everyone and happy Christmas to all of you. Well today has been awful! Woke up this morning feeling a bit chesty and the feeling of being exhausted and a run over feeling. I pulled myself together for my 16 yr old daughters sake and my elderly parents who are staying for a few days...not easy

Fed up
Hi I have been on Symbicort 200 and 400. I found Symbicort really helped with my asthma after struggling for 6 months on various other inhalers. Unfortunately my asthma is yet again playing up badly and I am having 'attacks' at least 5 times per day (where I have to use my reliever and often at least

Hi guys, So for some reason I seem to be having a really rough go. I've never had THIS many health issues at the same time before. And since I have a newish job on top of it, it's been kind of scary. Anyways, I've taken 4 days off of work this month, which is actually the most I've ever taken. I wasn't

In denial with diagnosis and differing opinions confusing me!
My 3 year old son had frequent 'viral induced wheeze' episodes in his first 18 months which resulted in hospitalisation; nebuliser and steroid. We then saw a private consultant who advised that children with many 'chest infections' are actually asthmatic. Is this really as scientific as a diagnosis

Confusing Consultant
I was in A&E tonight, I was blue lighted in and taken straight to resus, had wheezing all over my lungs but was able to maintain my oxygen sats with a lot of hard work. After about 5 nebulisers back to back I improved pretty quickly and they took me up to a ward to keep an eye on me. Once i got to the

Best nebulisers
Hello everyone. I have bronchiectasis. I nebulise hypertonic saline, then breathing exercises before inhaling nebulised colomycin twice a day. My question is to find out from those of you who perform this routine, what are the best nebulisers? I have been loaned one from the NHS, but it is heavy

Good old asthma memories
So I was just sharing with a friend, that I'm set to go home for our upcoming Thanksgiving holiday in the States, and that I'm a bit apprehensive at the idea of using my nebulizer in my mother's living room. She's not very good with illness of any kind. Three years ago I went, and used my inhalers in

Nearly 2 weeks of pred and still not right :(
I think this might be a long post so please bear with me. About 3 weeks ago I had my first ambulance ride to A&E with my first serious asthma attack since being diagnosed. Several nebs and IV steroids later, they sent me home with some antibiotics, saying that it was a chest infection which had set
