How long are cosopt ( timolol and dorzolamide) eye drops effective for after each application?
A tea time dose of
timolol
drops could still affect my blood pressure during the early hours of the morning. As my glaucoma is steadily progressing should I question the second daily dose again next time I see my consultant?

Par Plana Vitrectomy Operation.
It’s stable now with Dorzolamide/
Timolol
eyedrops and I visit the Eye Clinic regularly. They are wonderful. On my last visit I was told that I would be eligible for a par plana vitrectomy which would correct the partially dislocated IOL that was implemented for cataract removal in 2017.

Spacing out drops
I have to take Brinzolamide/
Timolol
twice a day. My general routine is to put them in at 9am & 9pm so that the drops are evenly spaced. However occasionally the 9pm dose is not practical. E.G. attending a football match that kicks off at 8pm.

Confused about laser treatment
I have eye drops, Monopost and more recently
Timolol
as my pressure was not coming down. At my last appointment it was suggested I have Laser treatment and today the appointment came. It is for Panretinal Laser Treatment. I was expecting SLT as my sister and my friend have had this for Glaucoma.

Timolol side effects?
That was also the day I was switched from latanoprost to latanoprost/
timolol
. Can
timolol
cause all of the above? I had SLT three weeks ago and I am waiting for check-up in three weeks time, so hopefully I can change drops. But has anyone experienced something similar?

Confused about pressure and trabs
I was told to continue taking Latanoprost/
Timolol
. When I went to the follow-up 6 weeks later, the pressure was down to 18 L and 24 R from 28 and 34, and the doctor was quite pleased. I had to continue with the eyedrops and come back after 8 weeks .

Deteriorating eyesight...........
I also have cataracts in both eyes, but can't have an operation as I already had pressure, Glaucoma, in the right eye and the pressure has increased even more so now I am on Monopost, eye drops x1 per day as well as
Timolol
x 2 per day. As my eye's have deteriorated so quickly, is there hope ?

long term effects of drops
I’ve been prescribed Latanoprost once a day in both eyes and Brinzolamide/
timolol
(Azarga) in left eye twice a day. Will I need to add moisturising eye drops and if so which ones and when in my daily regime? I am due to have an iridotomy soon, will I still need drops after that procedure?

He has just added
timolol
which I started last night, so hopefully that brings my pressure down to around 13, my target IOP. Thanks in advance, Jon

intolerance to drops
Meanwhile the other eye since May has developed a pretty bad intolerance to the brinzololamide or brimonidine and possibly tafluprost/
timolol
. The eye is red and eyelid puffy and intensely itchy !!!which is the worst part. It waxes and wanes but never clears up.

Drops not working
I was put on latanoprost/
timolol
but that is not working either. I have now lost some vision in one eye. I asked to have SLT and I am waiting to get that done but the doctor said that if Latanoprost doesn’t work SLT will not work either. Is it true? I can’t find much online.

Allergic reaction to eye drops
Hi, I am a 66 years old male and have been on
Timolol
/Bimatoprost and Brinzolamide drops for glaucoma since July 2021. I've recently developed red, itchy, scaly patches on my arms and these seem to be a reaction to the drops as indicated in the leaflet on side effects.

Norway Study- nonselective beta-blocker use at the time of radical prostatectomy (RP) may reduce the risk for prostate cancer recurrence
Nonselective beta-blockers (eg, propranolol, nadolol,
timolol
, and pindolol) act on both β1- and β2-adrenergic receptors, whereas selective beta-blockers target mainly β1-adrenergic receptor. Reference Sivanesan S, Austlid Taskén K, Hartvedt Grytli H.

Traumatic afternoon at eye clinic UPDATE
According to her I am not allergic to
Timolol
, only to the other ingredient - Bimatoprost. How they reached this conclusion, I have no idea. Any way looks like I have no option but to try the Dorzolamide/
Timolol
that hs been prescribed. Was told to try it for two weeks.
