LOW TSH WITH STABLE T4
Hello, can anyone tell me whether it matters when your TSH is low? Mine is 0.04 mU/L and T4 is 16.7 pmol/L? My thyroxine has been reduced from 100mg to 87.5 mg and the TSH has increased from 0.03 mU/L to 0.04 mU/L in 6 weeks. I had a bone scan done on the advice of a private doctor and this came

Utrogeatan and Hashi-soybean lecithin issues?
Hi everyone, I recently started with bioidentixal HRt (oestrodose and Ultrogestan(progesterone). I have hashimotoes so do not eat soy or gluten. Having taken it for about a month I noticed the corners of my inner eyes red and inflamed which is what I get when I consume allergens. On researching I found

Hemithyroidectomy
Hi everyone, sorry this may be a bit long . . .I had in incidental finding of a 'tumour' in my thyroid after having an MRI for an unrelated issue in July 2023. I had no symptoms at all and could not see or feel any lump/goiter. I was sent to Endocrinology in October 2023 where I had an ultrasound followed

How much reduction in dose to lower TSH to please the specialist???
In July I saw an endocrinologist who found my TSH of 0.025 alarming. He wanted to lower the dose because "Low TSH can cause heart complications." (Eye roll) As many of you pointed out, it's not the TSH that's the problem. Is there sufficient, but not excessive, thyroid hormone to support cellular energy

Advice needed on thyroxine management
I am hoping someone can advise me about my thyroxine dose. Here's a little background: In September 2023, I was underweight and having trouble gaining weight and suffering from anxiety. I had been on 75mcg of levothyroxine daily for an underactive thyroid. I had recently developed pins and needles

Undetectable TSH
Hi Everyone, I just had my latest blood results which again show that my TSH levels are low. I am currently on 125mg of levothyroxine. I have been recording my results and I really don't understand what I need to do as my next step. Here is a snapshot of my results for last few years for better understanding

Do I need thyroxine?
I have exhaustion and results a bit like someone else but my GP says my thyroid is normal. I saw your post a few weeks ago. I don't want to feel worse.TSH 6.22 (0.27 - 4.2) and I am also worried that I can never stop. FT4 14.5 (12 - 22) FT3 4.7 (3.1 - 6.8) What shall I do?

Symptoms of thyroid issues but tests normal
Hi, can anyone help me understand please? My thyroid tests keep coming back as normal but I have symptoms which I’m trying to unpick from menopause symptoms. I’m on HRT but still feel cold, get crashing fatigue, have missing outer third of eyebrows, brain fog, low mood etc. My folate came back as low

My ‘thyroid journey’ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. I’m fairly convinced I don’t have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however it’s not just adrenals as I’ve tested myself on HC solo and it doesn’t work. Aaanyway

What causes subclinical hypothyroidism?
My brief history: Diagnosed subclincal last year and have felt persistently awful on all doses of levo (25-75mcg) and 75 pushed my t4 slightly too high. The side effects of it have been debilitating and in many ways I feel worse taking it. 25mcg puts my t4 at around 18 which seemed high for a tiny dose

Direct measurement of T3 likely vital say researchers
This may have already been shared but I just came across an article about a new study that has stated that "It is important to note that the more typically measured biomarkers for thyroid function (T4 and TSH) are poorly linked to free T3 levels," Lawton and colleagues wrote. The ratio of TSH:T4 explained

My drs reduced my levo and now I'm having a mare.
So I've been suffering with swelling and pins and needles recently and my dr has said it must be my thyroid He's reduced levo from 100mcg to 75mcg. My t4 has gone from 13 to 11. The edema is worse now.. However my testerone has gone from normal 0.8... range 0.3-1.9 to 2.5!!! Does anyone know why
