Information needed on theophylline / Phyllocontin.
Information needed on
theophylline
/ Phyllocontin. Does it interact with other drugs.? It is often mentioned as "tell your Dr if you are taking ...." on drug information leaflets. Is it compatible with clarithromycin?

Severe asthma and dating (mini teenage meltdown)
i suppose its also the fact that i cant live like every other 18 year old, as you cant exactly go out clubbing and puff away on your bricanyl/ventolin, i'm also often cyanotic of a night time and take
theophylline
so i cant drink alcohol.

Need a rant to people who understand!
I'm also taking qvar, spiriva, singulair,
theophylline
, and god knows how much ventolin! I'd never had a hospital admission for my asthma until november last year, just had the odd neb until that point.

Not sure if want....
I'm having a flare up due to a recent sinus/throat infection (The dry air & snow may also have something to do with it ^^;) and the doctor has given me Mucodyne (Carbocisteine )500mg and Theodur (
Theophylline
) 200mg.

Finland's Approach to Improve outcomes. Any Opinions?
It is hard to discuss oral steroid bursts,
Theophylline
, and even antibiotics on an outpatient basis, I have found. I am in States. I am sure others have different experiences. Like to see this approach become more common.

getting IV access-worried
I am now thinking that perhaps I should be telling my GP and hospital to use my feet for veins when getting routine blood/
theophylline
levels so that my hands/wrists can be saved for emergency situations.

Theophylline

Theophylline
I've been put on
Theophylline
to see if I get any relief from the breathlessness etc. I took my first tablet last night and was wondering how long it will be before I start to see a difference (if any)?? Thanks Jill x

Theophylline
Any advice on
Theophylline
and alcohol?? Any other advice would be great before I start taking it, as my consultant just said you could feel sick for a few days.

Theophylline
Hi, Possibly going to try
theophylline
so just after people's experiences good and bad of it - has it made a difference or have the side effects, interactions with other drugs and difficulties with getting levels right made it not worth it? Thank you

Quick query about theophylline
Just started on
theophylline
and I wondered whether you can drink alcohol with it. The GP didn't say anything about alcohol and the label doesn't say anything but the leaflet inside says to discuss with your GP if you intend to drink alcohol. Thank you!

My doctor was going to prescribe me
theophylline
after explaining that I was already on max meds (confusion point number 1), but decided not to and sent me for a referral (confusion point 2).

theophylline
400mg x 2/day and I am currently using nebs morning (necessary to recover) and night (in an attempt to prevent low peak flows on waking)- these ventoline 5mg or atrovent if ventoline does not work.
