Have you disclosed your self-medication to GP?
Hello Everybody, I've been successfully self-medicating with T4 and T3 or NDT, without GP's knowledge, since 2016. For the 30 years before that I could not get diagnosed for hypothyroidism because I am borderline central hypothyroid and my TSH never got high enough for the NHS diagnosis criteria.

is this ok
I had a total thyroidectomy 11 years ago and I’m on 175 levothyroxine and 60 liothyronine but I feel bad and looked at my bloods and they look low on T3 considering how much I take….. what do you think?

No thyroid gland so where does TSH fit?
Always wondered but never asked - I had my thyroid removed years ago due to large goitre(+ blood tests normal so all hypo symptoms in my head said GP). Diagnosed from biopsy with Hashimotos. On T4 only til recently (don't convert well at all). Learned so much from this forum, hence now with private

Those of you who take T3 at night
How do you split your dose if T3 if you take it just before bed?

Morning all, I posted some results a while ago and followed the very wise advice I was given but as I still felt rubbish I got into my GP who was very helpful and ordered lots of tests for me. Endo blood test codes
Hi after my recent post about rising TSH I asked my nhs endo to do the reccommend thyroid blood tests. I have received the blood test form today but am not sure what some of the codes mean. I know he said he couldn’t do all of them so I wanted to work out which to pay for privately. I recognise

The dangers of under treatment
This downloadable review is focussed on the implications of under treatment by T4. A lot of it is useful, but there are some problems - i.e. little said about FT3.

Advice please - Where do you learn to self inject?
I'm hypothyroid, self sourcing T3 since the NHS took it off me, and now it seems my B12 'is a bit low.' That was the receptionists considered opinion anyway. My doctor has asked NO questions about symptoms, there are a few that could be thyroid or B12. I assumed thyroid as they have been messing my

Hello, could you share your experiences if you tried stopping thyroid hormone replacement? I was on NDT for years, developed hyperthyroid symptoms +very low TSH (normal ft3 and ft4), had heart arrythmia and high blood pressure, lost a lot of hair. Taking NDT didn't help with my weight problems or other

Graves disease
I have a new GP who agreed to also
test
T3
and T4 . Usually my bloods are taken early morning and before breakfast, but this time I had to have mid afternoon bloods taken . My results show lower TSH , so the GP wants me to up the carbimazole to 5mg daily.

Thyroid Bloods - Opinions Sought
Hi everyone, Have recently had the below blood results from private testing and I'd love the benefit of those who have more knowledge than myself. Brief history - total thyroidectomy 2019 and a downward health spiral ever since, significant weight gain (three dress sizes and no sign of stopping
