Symbicort
The doctor yesterday prescribed
Symbicort
for me to try. Had a couple of puffs before I went to bed and woke up at night with chest pains. Not coughing type pains, more like pulled a muscle type pain. Could this be the
Symbicort
?

Pulmonary Function Report
The reason for the improvement is that since the full test, he's maintained a strict regime of
Symbicort
all summer and he also doubles his dosage when someone else in the house or he gets a cold. Everyone should have access to full allergy and lung function tests.

I'm on
symbicort
, singulair, theophylline, ventolin & atrovent and feel my asthma is fairly well controlled. I'm having a bit of a dilemmia as although I meet the study criteria i suspect i wont be able to recieve the drug after the trial ends- my asthma isn't bad enough.

Breathing problems
My asthma is being really bad at the moment as i am struggling to breath most days, i get out of breath when walking and doing stairs, my medications just don't seem to be taking effect and i am not responding to them. i was on the highest dose of
symbicort
and seretide and they didn't work.

Chest pain while breathing in
I use
symbicort
regularly, (and the doctor tells me to increase the dose when needed, like when i get sick, or during allergy season), but I haven't felt like it is necessary to increase the dose since i'm perfectly capable of breathing, it's just that it hurts. Sincerely, Caroline

Recently diagnosed with lots of questions and struggling
I was finally admitted to hospital and started to be treated but this does not appear to be improving, the consultant is seeing me weekly following my discharge, I have been on preds for 6 weeks, and now currently increased from 30mg to 60mg daily due to my lack of improvement, 4 puffs of
symbicort
twice

Summer greetings (from Italy)
However, every time I stepped outside the building I had to take double reliever right away, and keep taking the doses often (of course I already had doubled my
Symbicort
).

Should I be worried about my PF?
I was on
Symbicort
, but over one year ago after I did spirometry the consultant I saw took me off the
Symbicort
. When I was taking
Symbicort
my PF was around 500. Now without a preventer it is around 400-450. The thing is, I generally feel fine at that level.

Relievers?
He agreed going back on atrovent would be a good step but also as a reliever this means that now when i have an attack or just feel symptomatic im supposedly to take:
Symbicort
400/12 x4, salbutobol x 4 and 2 puffs of atrovent and this can be done up to 6 times a day.

why is it, when you lay down, you start coughing?
As part of my night routine i take my medicines, inhaler (
Symbicort
400/12), Cetirizine 10mg and Singulair 10mg. (I call this my supper). The Cetirizine makes me drowsy so this is why i take it at night. Is there something else i can do or try? Does anyone have any ideas?

Alternative to singulair for night time symptoms
Since Jan thought had cracked it, when I started on Singulair 10mgs daily,
Symbicort
400-2 puffs twice a day, about to reduce to one puff, and Ventolin as needed, also Avamys nasal spray each morning, as respiratory consultant seems to think my asthma seems to be triggered by amongst other things post
