Asthma- if you want to be a paramedic
Seretide
, Pred. ect and i think that this is toatlly impossible and outragious, how can a 'real' asthmatic go without inhalers, its complete health risk, well if the NHS want to spend more money on Nebs and doctors time then go ahead.

Seretide
I am on 2 puffs twice a day (125) for, I think, for 3and half years now. I am worried about any side affects that might result from using this long-term. The medication has helped me massively and I am now able to lead a normal life. Does anyone know of any side affects that may be a worry in the future

Asking to change inhalers
I've got an appointment with my asthma nurse on tuesday and I'm going to ask him whether I can try a different inhaler (I'm currently on
seretide
500 twice daily) because my asthma is not getting any better and from reading these forums I have realised there are other options to what I'm on.

GP is furious with Consultant
She asked how i was feeling and i told her that since taking down my
seretide
i have struggled, especially now i'm more active. She read the notes form my last cons appointment and was raving about ""if these symptoms were presented why did you lower her
seretide
!""

When to start pred/ theophylline
I'm on
Seretide
(Fluticasone/Salmeterol) and Montelukast. Having thought about his answer for a few weeks, I think he's right for a few reasons - and I dont think I'm bad enough (yet). I occasionally have days without using ventolin, but certainly use it most days.

Frequent attacks and an annoying mum!
I believe im already on very strong medications (
Seretide
, atrovent, salbutmol, montelukast and antihistamines) and am really unsure on where they will go next. I'm sick of being on prednislone as its given me awful cramps and puts me in a rather horrid mood!
