Not Well :(
Anyway, I am on Prednisolone 30 mg maintenance dose, Atrovent inhaler 4 puffs twice a day, Salbutamol 4 puffs 4 times a day,
Seretide
250 2 puffs four times a day and Singulair 10 mg nightly. My asthma is poorly controlled and my GP is arranging a loan of a home nebuliser.

well...
So they took me off these inhalers completely and put me on Salbutomol nebules 5mg four times a day and PRN,
Seretide
accuhaler 500 2 puffs twice a day, singulair 10mg once a day and predisolone 30mg. This is what the consultant has just sent me home on.

I also got a new PB for my PEFR this morning all through the magic of
seretide
, I'm really feeling back to my old self and can't bear to think of it all being taken away again.

Seretide to Symbicort
I just wondered if anybody had developed a worse cough, especially in the morning, when switching from
seretide
250 to symbicort 400/12. I changed the inhalers just over a week ago and seemed to be feeling worse.

Xray for breathing problems, should I take steroids?
It has been controlled some of the time by
seretide
and ventolin but in December I had to have a five day course of steroids which helped a lot. It has been a lot worse again this week and when I saw my GP she recommended I have an Xray on Monday.

Bunion surgery
I've not had a general anaesthetic for nearly 20 years and wasn't a diagnosed asthmatic then - didn't have any symptoms at the time so had no problems but my chest is much weaker now and I am on Ventolin and
Seretide
so that is of concern to me apart from the actual fairly barbaric surgery and long recovery

Seratide questions again ........... sorry!!
So shouldn't I try higher doses of
Seretide
before adding another drug? I've also requested a spacer to see if this helps although she said I have a really good inhaler technique.

Newbie to Singulair
Been put on Singulair, along with my
Seretide
. I've read the Singulair posts on here and will let you know whether any nasty side effects come along. Interesting the posts about bad dreams, as that's what I've woken up from, for the last week. Maybe they will disappear for me?

Emotional!
This change in emotion - I haven't always been like this - has coincided with starting the singulair and upping my dosage of
seretide
. Is this a known side effect or just me?! Thanks, Emz x

Just joined - wheezy every morning
Most of the time it is well controlled as I'm on
seretide
and ventolun when I need it. However the past two years and exactly at this time of year I've noticed a pattern. Last tear I began to wake every morning with phlegm on my chest that was very difficult to bring up.

Is it a flare up?
I am currently taking
Seretide
am and pm to control my asthma which works fine. Every now and again though I feel as though my asthma is flaring up, my chest feels constricted and feel like i can't get a full breath in or out but the thing that confuses me is that my peak flow is bang on (530).

frequency of having predisnole 30mg?
Hi Had my second check up with the doctor from the hosptial - she has increased my
seretide
from a 250mg to a 500mg (1 puff dosage has not changed but this means the accuhaler will last me longer!) and added singulair back on at a stronger 10mg.
