Chest pain in the morning
For some reason, this seems to be worse if I sleep on my back, or if I sleep late in the morning. The pain usually eases once I stand up, take deep, regular breaths, and take my morning dose of
seretide
, but the tightness is hard to get rid off: it usually stays with me most of the day and my breathing

I'm an idiot, but..
I'm an idiot and I haven't been taking my purple inhaler for a week or so; due to being ill, having no energy, sleeping a lot and a few other issues. my chest is starting to feel nasty again - how long will it take for
seretide
to start building back up in my system?

Funny tastes
Just prior to discharge was prescribed
Seretide
bd and Salbutamol qds (this drops to prn after the weekend). I am washing my mouth out after the
Seretide
, as was warned about thrush, but constantly have a horrible taste in my mouth. Is this usual? Will it go? It's making everything taste funny!!

advice re medication
Anyway he gave him Clenil 100 to be taken on top of
seretide
50x4 puffs daily/singulair at night and suggested that i use it for a week and see how he goes....i was always under the impression that
seretide
was a step up treatment from clenil and also that inhaled steroids took up to 2 weeks to be effective

Further treatment options?
She is now on
Seretide
and montelukast and has needed 7 courses of Pred during the last 12 months. Her consultant today said that if she is not much better in 3 months, then we will need to look at further treatment options and that she is already on maximum preventer meds.

Asthma Drugs ?
I take
seretide
and spiriva. I have periods when I am absolutely fine. I also tried montelukast a while back which did not make any difference either. I am worried about the increased use of pred and already take alendronic acid and colecalciferol tablets for my bones.

What to do now
I doubled my
Seretide
, and after one week needed Prednisolone. Days 3 and 4 of Pred I was in my local ED as was still tight and apparently had poor air entry. Luckily I responsed well to Salbutamol and Atrovent nebs and am now on antibiotics as ED felt I might have got a chest infection.

Rescue Prednisolone at home?
Hi I'm currently on
Seretide
(125) 2 puffs twice a day, Montelukast 10mg and Salbutamol when required. One of the worst triggers for me is getting colds. I've tried doubling the
Seretide
or just using a separate Flixotide inhaler to increase the steroid component but I still run into problems.

sedretide and symbicort
Doc told my 21 year old daughter to take
seretide
and symbicort, singular at night time and bricanyl when needed. have taken symbicort before but not the same time as
seretide
together . Is this normal practise because i was led to believe its one or the other. But who do we ask.

Seretide and abdominal pain
Hiya peeps, Ever since my lad's been on
seretide
his asthma control has been brilliant but he has a constant belly-ache and his appetite has dipped. I think he may have lost weight too. I strongly suspect that it's the
seretide
and am goong to make an appointment with the resp nurse.

SERETIDE and children under 4
His reasoning was that if Ollie had
Seretide
as a preventer then he'd probably need less pred and that
Seretide
is preferable to taking continutual courses of pred over the winter.

seretide
50 but should we go to see the asthma nurse too?

Is this normal?
She's completed her amoxicillin and he'd given us the option of either taking her
seretide
50 up to 3 puffs twice a day or to give four hourly ventolin. We went with the ventolin which she is still taking 4 hourly.

Not sure how to proceed anymore
She is on
seretide
, salbutamol, ceterzine, singulair, azithromycin, pred, lansoperazole and has an epi-pen for her attacks as well. She was on slo-phyllin but the doctors discontinued it when it no longer worked for her. She started the azithromycin in later January.
