Foot cramp
I never had a problem until I was doubled up on my
Seretide
and even when I was changed to Fostair the cramps have continued. Before I make myself sound crazy at my appointment next week, I thought I’d ask in here. Thanks in advance!

Mast Cell Stabilisers
Not being able to tolerate steroids without very debilitating side effects, I'm still looking for something to add to the Uniphyllin 400 & Ventolin (plus just one small dose of
Seretide
50).

combisal versus seretide
Is anyone else finding that combisal is not as effective as
seretide
? I have been having lower peak flow readings with combisal. Also it is harder to press down so that the metered dose is not accurate.

Asthma attack
I don't tolerate steroids well at all, and can only comfortably manage one puff of
Seretide
50 each day, but I've used an extra one this afternoon to try and help. It's not perfect yet, but with care I'll feel even better by morning.

Peak flow reducing on ICS
Hi, can anyone tell me why my son's peak flow is lower since using
seretide
? His highest is 210 and he's just been gradually getting lower over about 4 months and had now been consistently around 150 about 2 months. The only time that it has gone back up is when he has had ibuprofen.

Low peak flow value?
Nurse changed me to
Seretide
250 from the fostair due to persistent shortness of breathe and breathing difficulties. My peakflow for the last year has been 400-450. My PB this year was 450 i think. I seem to have got some kind of respiratory infection and my peak flow is now down to 320-350!

Does the body get used to ventolin ?
It's possible to know it with
seretide
and other inhalers but not with ventoline! As a result of this, there are many people who have attacks and realise too late that their inhaler is empty which is very dangerous. So I wonder why they have not changed this yet ?

Bad spell of asthma
He was taking salbutamol & lowest dose
seretide
. He has now been increased to
Seretide
500 & given atrovent inhaler & a nebuliser. How often should he be using the atrovent nebules rather than the inhaler? It just arrived but he wasn’t given much guidance on how often.

Seretide v Sirdupla
Was fine with
Seretide
and didn't need the Salamol. However since the first puff of Sirdupla, I have been using the Salamol several times a day. Have asked GP to switch me back to
Seretide
and have stopped using the Sirdupla. Fingers crossed.

Two questions about my asthma
I should also probably mention that I've been on
seretide
for 2 weeks and I see no improvement at all. I've also had some nebs at home of bricanyl and atrovent but it doesn't seem to be as effective as the one I had at the hospital. Thank You

Cheaper not necessarily better!
I have been taking Spirava and
Seretide
for years and had been jogging along quite well. Then my sister said she had tried Fostair and it had really helped her. So I changed to Fostair much to my chagrin.

Haemophilus influenzae immunity-or lack of!
If I hadn’t burst into tears of frustration and exhaustion when I saw the consultant 3 weeks ago I would have been fobbed-off with just a higher dose of
Seretide
to deal with repeated lung infections. Instead she sent me for blood and sputum tests.
