Seretide v Fostair
Going to the GP today as I have found
Seretide
has become less effective to no effect in controlling my asthma which to be honest is being a bit bothersome of late.I have noticed more conversations regarding Fostair. Wondering what peoples experience is with this inhaler and any side effects?

Should I attend my hospital appointment?
I have fairly well controlled asthma, taking 2 doses
seretide
100 twice a day. (Recently increased) Rarely taking Ventolin. Also taking amarys spray for allergy and nasal polyps. Is it worth the travel?

Reliever spray without lactose - help please
Then after ten days the wheezing disappeared; after six months I came off my
Seretide
250. I later accidentally ate butter and the heavy wheezing and mucus was back. Turns out I have a delayed onset t-cell response to dairy (consultant confirmed).

Seretide and skin problem.
I did not associate the problem with the
Seretide
until recently. Due to developing coughing fits soon after taking the
Seretide
I stopped taking it and after a couple of weeks the skin problem disappeared and the skin on my hands is now normal.

Fostair 100/6
My question is should Fostair be given as a replacement for Salbutamol because from what I have read it is more like
Seretide
which is a preventative, the situatuion we find ourselves in is that there is nothing she can have to help her once she has been given the Fostair twice a day e.g. she felt unwell

Vitamin D improvement
I had recently been given Symbicort instead of
Seretide
and have only used it once in the last week. I am going to try magnesium also, just to see if that also helps. I only really suffer from mild chest tightness and sometimes bad wheezing, but that seems so far to have subsided.

I’m on
Seretide
250 and Fexofenadine 180. Following yet another course of steroids Christmas week I agreed to at least try it for one month. I am now seven days into the month and yesterday I only had one coughing episode and today so far none, with limited side effects.

Hello! And Ventolin Question ...
I take
seretide
250 and spiriva. But still need ventolin when my chest gets tight. Recently, my GP has started to limit me to 1 ventolin pump per month. I’m finding this a bit hard going, and am turning down walks/trips out as I worry my supply won’t last if I get tight chested.

I'm wanting to know if anyone has noticed any difference in their asthma when they have been on
Seretide
125 then given Sirdupla 125. Does anyone know if these inhalers are the same ? I would be grateful for any comments. Thank you

Will moisturiser help with Seretide bruising
Hi I know from previous posts that many of you have talked about
Seretide
and bruising. I’ve got some small green/yellow bruises on my thighs that I’ve got no idea where they have come from!

seretide and spiriva are keeping me awake
i have copd and was given these inhalers to use alongside ventolin if i experience more than the normal difficulty breathing. i had over the past two days had difficulty breathing and took both. now i find it so difficult to sleep, a friend said it's because they contain steroids. is that correct

Reversibility and more
He's obviously on all of his meds (
seretide
, ciclesonide and montelukast) and had had some Ventolin earlier in the morning so assuming that doesn't then mean the asthma diagnosis he has had for years is now questionable as not close to the 15% reversibility?

When to take salbutamol?
However I feel that my
Seretide
dose keeps the wheeze at bay and lowering it would cause problems. Any thoughts most welcome JC x

Osteoporosis at 53 due to steroids
I've been on the highest dose of
Seretide
for years and in the last 12 mths have had 3 lots of oral steroids too as I've got mild bronchiectasis too. I now take a smaller dose and am using tiotropium too. I also take omeprazole for reflux.
