When to go to hospital?
I am currently on Symbicort 400 twice daily, Montelukast,
Salbutamol
and also a current rescue course of 20mg pred - given by the consultant at my last appointment. The pred has always sorted me out in the past at least for a while, but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

xray & ended up on back to back
salbutamol
nebs again. got told in a&e that it WAS an asthma attack & my airways sounded restricted. i appear to be rambling at this point (sorry, tired), with the
salbutamol
nebs, my oxygen levels got back up to 99%, a couple minutes of been off nebs, theyd dropped right

The doc sounded my chest and said was very weezy and put me back on pred. she asked me how much
salbutamol
I had had to relieve it ,I said 8/10 puffs ,she told me never take more than 3 as it would just make me shakey and wouldnt work any better and give me pred.

I'm taking: *Domperidone *Omeprazole *Seretide *
Salbutamol
*Cetirizine I do try avoid my triggers - I haven't noticed that any triggers make the attacks present differently.

Most number of times salbutamol should be taken a day?
I tend to take my
salbutamol
through a spacer, and my asthma has been terrible the past 6 months, 13 hopsital admissions! haven't had one lately luckily, but still use my reliever many many times a day. I was told by a doctor that day to day I shouldn't be taking it more than 6 times a day!

New member - question about using peak flow meter
The doctor prescribed the classic blue
salbutamol
reliever, boy what a relief. I've only needed to use it sporadically. When I get a bit of trouble, it is excaberated hugely by synthetic scents like those found in air freshener or cigarette smoke.

newly diagnosed and suffering from the dreaded cold!
I'm already taking the max dose of
salbutamol
sulphate and beclometasone that my GP recommended and I'm struggling to control my symptoms. Is there any over the counter remedies you can recommend to help alleviate the coughing?
