How suitable is the omron u22 nebuliser for day to day use (e.g. 4hourly-qds usage) withh
salbutamol
and atrovent...or would i be better off investing in a different nebuliser? (ps. have been prescribed for home use by resp consulant... just to avoid any confusion) Emma

Sounds useful 4 winter!
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - A heat exchange mask, designed to improve comfort in cold temperatures, also seems to protect against asthma triggered by breathing cold, dry air, according to a report in the medical journal Chest. Asthma occurs when the airways tighten, limiting breathing. Cold, dry air

Resp Cons.
I am using far to much
Salbutamol
, as mentioned in another post that I get through 2
salbutamol
inhalers per week. Which I know is really not good, considering typically 1
salbutamol
inhaler lasts a month.

Stopped meds
I usually take symbicort 200/6 twice a day and
salbutamol
as and when. Should I be feeling crap with not having any meds and know I am probably pushing my luck but makes me wonder if I've gone this long do I really need the meds? Just wondered what people thought Smithy

Asthma connection to hypothyroidism?
Although the
Salbutamol
inhaler works as a brilliant reliever, I found that the Clenyl Modulate steroid inhaler negated the use of the
salbutamol
completely for the 6 weeks I was taking it.

Last time I went in the jacuzzi I had an asthma attack, despite using my

just before the swim. Any one else experience this? How do you manage it? Thanks

Should the pred have given me more improvement?
I should be on Seretide 125 2 puffs twice daily and
Salbutamol
PRN. I'm hopeless at remembering to take my preventer and usually 'get away with it' However, I got an cold in early December which caused an exacerbation; but again I got away with it by having lots of
salbutamol
.

Doubling of inhaled steroids
The other problem I have is that since I am on Seretide, when I double, I'm also getting double Salmeterol which combined with the
Salbutamol
makes me feel horrid. What do other people do when they get exacerbations?

Stay on Seretide or switch to SMART
I'm also on Montelukast and only rarely needing the
Salbutamol
. So far I've not had any Steroids this year, have an exacerbation at the moment, but that is because I have a cold.
