First Visit to the respiratory Lab
Reversibility showed a peak flow jump from 400 to 545 and all other measurements improved after the
salbutamol
- so final diagnosis I do have asthma and not COPD (would have been a bit of bad luck as Ive never smoked in my life).

First appointment with the specialist!
The Dr has put me on symbicort 400 along with my usual
salbutamol
& ventolin nebs. It is thick fog here & raining so my lungs were really playing up by the time I saw him which was good as he could hear/see what I am living with.

Feel a bit of a fraud!!
Last year I was given a
salbutamol
inhaler and a peak flow meter along with instructions to check PF morning and night and to try
salbutamol
before exercise and compare to exercise without to see if my symptoms were exercise induced asthma. The results led to confirmation of EIA.

Coping with tiredness
I have frequent bouts of breathlessness and difficulty breathing and I have to use my
salbutamol
. But what I find debilitating is the extreme tiredness which accompanies these bouts.

more frequent attacks
I'm already on symbicort, montelukast and
salbutamol
but was wondering if there are any other (safe) ways of trying to cut down the number of attacks i'm having.

And my new medication regime does frighten me a little as im currently taking four regular atrovent and
salbutamol

salbutamol
nebs before i needed to be re-admitted to hospital.

Salmeterol and Crushing Chest Pain
Salbutamol
caused me heart palpitations and Beclometasone caused me anxiety, muscle aches and agitation/restlessness. I am now on Salmeterol (for a month) and have a crushing tight discomfort in my left side.

Salbutamol related pain?
I spoke to my GP about the pain and he said that sometimes
Salbutamol
can cause pains when it is used to much. Now, today, I have only had a small amount (for me) and the pain is actually worse than ever. Any ideas on this one, or is a chat with GP on the cards again?

2 heads are better than one?
I have both 2.5mg
salbutamol
and 5mg
salbutamol
both in 2.5ml solution. Now, when my asthma is really in one, and I mean REALLY in a strop over something, I find that doing 2 of the 2.5mg can actually be easier and strangely better than doing the 5mg in one big chunk. Has anyone else found this?
