travelling... wind out of sails....

as you know from previous posts guys, i have been to hell and back past 2-3 weeks, went down to wales for funeral this week and came back yesterday.

dad was working so couldnt give a lift, so even tough still recovering from more ins and outs to Costa than the Hokie Kokie dance, due to nellies extra weight and trumpets and chest infection that have left me wit ZERO energy and pain H2T (heat to toe) i had to travel back using the dreaded public transport.

as well as that the flowers at the funeral and the emotion had been triggers...

bus down to town from house, walk to train station, nellie in tow. every step was such an effort and had to stop every so often of course to catch my breath and get rid f nellie for a little while. got train then to where i catch the coach from back to london. then once on coach relax and TRY sleep till got to london....

once in london, bus back to home, 5 min walk to front door. by time got in, lips were blue, nellie back and wheezy. was VERY breathless, nebs needed. 6hrs in total of travelling using feet, bus, train, coach.

the rest of evening spend lying amongst plenty pillows in front of tv, using plenty salbutamol, not much sally shakes though mind you, considering!! defo having a lift next time!!

night was so-so, nellie came to say hi now and again, just resting today. due back at work on tuesday :S we'll see shall we!!

Gosh Snowygirl,

You really are having a rough time of it aren't you.

I had a really bad year last year with my asthma and chest infections so I do understand how you must be feeling, it gets you down doesn't it.

Please make sure you get medical help if you needed it.

I do hope things start to improve for you soon.

thanks asthmagirl :)

Hi Snowygirl,

That sounds like a horrible journey whether or not you have asthma and with it - I'm impressed you made it home without collapsing given what you describe!

Not much useful to add but sympathy - hope things improve soon (and that you have lifts on hand...) And good luck with going back to work tomorrow.

xx

thanks for the reply....

work didnt happen... things went downhill sunday night and monday morning nellie put on weight and green men + women had to bluelight me to nearest A+E resus yet again :( kept in for 5 days this time :S

only got discharged today! hence my delay in replying . . . and catching up with everyone on here! managed to escape finally from Costa del NHS today and hav more meds than Boots pharmacy! also have yet another resolving chest infection :( peak flows were taking forever to improve and very breathless and exhausted this time.

pain unbearable. given strong and regular pain relief but even this not enough. still pain coming back now = again, grrr!! been advised to try wheat germ something u put in micro like a hot water bottle so gonna get that and try it as still achy + pain .....

work wise, try again next week :S
