Asthma and feeling low and poorly
So I started with 30mg pred but my chest is still very tight and pain with the need for lots of
salbutamol
. I have now been on pred for 3 days with not much improvement peak flow up to 340 this evening so still quite rough and no energy to do anything.

Have been a member of BLF for several months but this is the first time I have asked a question, I have bronchiectasis and was wondering if
any other members have been given two different brands of Inhalers 1 Ventolin 100 micrograms/dose Evohaler and 1
Salbutamol
100micrograms/dose Breath Actuated Inhaler. Both for one or two puffs to be inhaled up to four times a day when needed.

Possible asthma and GORD?
We were advised to stop the montelukast about 6 months ago as we weren't seeing any improvement with it so we're just continuing with the 3 puffs of Clenil and
salbutamol
as required.

We went to gp this morning, the doc said my sons chest was clear and just to continue with the
salbutamol
. He was quite perky this morning but fever came back by lunchtime, so administered more calpol.

Furosmide and Digoxin, Warfarin and salbutamol?
He stated that my graph showed that I was consistently bad even after my
salbutamol
blast. So now I have 15 prescriptions for at least a month. Maybe after my pace and ablate it might improve things?

I am also taking phyocontin,
salbutamol
, monkaluast, and pred when required. I need to take pred about once or twice a month to keep me symptoms uncontrolled. So I have now been put on calcium and vitamin D£ tablets to help me bones as I am on high amounts of steroids.

asthma, chest infections and hireditaryness!
She was advised to go to the GP to get a firm diagnosis, which she did and came away with
salbutamol
and being instructed to keep a PF diary. She collapsed again today, so I took her to A&E, she was struggling to breathe etc and had a lot of tests.

Just been told I have emphysema.
Was supposed to have spirometry test but their machine was broken so they discharged me Tuesday with
Salbutamol
inhaler and will send me an outpatient appointment in post. My ECG results were fine, no cancer showed up on CTPA, and blood pressure was optimum.

Atrovent and Spiriva?
Compared it to
salbutamol
and salmetarol. But if admitted it is still safe to use ipatropium nebs. This has lead me to think that perhaps the two are safe to use together? As in not regularly, but if I was trying to manage an attack at home? Has anyone else done this?

Finally got a diagnosis!
do you use a neb to assist with clearing your chest - I find that
Salbutamol
helps a lot before I have a good cough. James.

Don't know what to do
Since the end of august we are back struggling despite his usual meds of seretide 125 2 puffs twice a day, nedocromil, flixonase and
salbutamol
. He had a course of steroids about 5 weeks ago and is now on another after an admission last week. We are back frequently using ventolin.

grumbling"" lungs, help?
I had medical attention earlier for something unrelated to my asthma (although my asthma has been playing up again, not to the point of needing anything but regular-ish
salbutamol
) & had my chest checked. I was told I wasn't wheezing, but I have a lot of ""grumbling"" in my left lung.

chest infection doens't seem to be shifting.
I'm also using a lot more
salbutamol
than I usually do. should I see my GP or wait a few more days to see if it fully shifts on its own?

Anyone able to relate?
I try to relieve it with the
salbutamol
, which sometimes works although I hope he can not be overdosed on this. I invested in an oximeter which is helpful. At one point in hospital the otherr night he dropped to 85%. Is this bad?
