Carbocisteine side effects
I was prescribed spiriva and clenil along with
salbutamol
for this. I recently attended my specialist appointment after having continuous chest infections for 5 month + . He said he thinks I have bronchiectasis. I am due to have CT soon.

Salbutamol gives me the jitters!
I do generally tend to be quite sensitive to anything that has a stimulant effect (I'm assuming that
Salbutamol
contains some kind of stimulant). I have to avoid caffeine like the plague! Are you aware of an alternative reliever to
Salbutamol
that I might tolerate better? Many thanks in advance ☺

Saline Inhalation
Hi, I have been asked to consider hypertonic saline in-between my twice daily
salbutamol
and gentamicin nebuliser. I am sure it would help with thick sputum clearance but i have had swollen ankles for about 15 years for which i take bendroflumethiazide but this does not make the swelling disappear.

Asthma?
Hi My recent spirometer test improved a lot after I had been given the inhaler
salbutamol
. On the fast breathing out I had to get to 70. I got consistently to 69. My consultant says I have asthma? I have been taking Fostair and don't seem to need anything else , my breathing seems fine.

Sore chest upon exercise
I have
salbutamol
for dire emergencies. I've never had an asthma attack and although I have slight difficulty in wood smoke/high polken/cold/very hot my asthma is quite well controlled (I take my inhalers without fail) I walk 6 miles daily for the school run.

Confusing advice
I decided in the end to use my own common sense so just for now I use a combo of hefty Symbicort in twice daily (allows me four spare doses if I need them) as well as
salbutamol
, which luckily I did have. This gp also said that it was unusual to have pred for more than 3 days.

Shortness of breath?
My RA is still active since I just was diagnosed over the summer and have only been on Leflunomide about 6 weeks. I’ve been having shortness of breath this last week. It feels like I’m not taking deep enough breaths, when I’m just sitting there. I then breath deep. It doesn’t hurt and I’m fine but

No where to turn
Hello, I've been on this site just reading posts for a long time now. I've never posted anything as I have so many issues and don't know how or where to begin. Asthma investigations
To explain, I have had a cough day and night now for about 5 weeks now, and even with using my fostair the doctor doesn't think it's properly controlled, as I'm having to use my
salbutamol
a lot more to.

Lungs are burning
I have cough-variant asthma, but I have developed another symptom: burning lungs. I can't figure out the 'trigger' or pattern. I thought it was cold air, but it happens mid summer as well. My lungs burn so bad, if I didn't know better, I'd think I was having some sort of heart problem. I just have to

Itch inside chest
Still trying to sort out what happened to me last April. I spent a month being miserable after participating in a protest march. The inside of my chest itched. The itch was similar in intensity and quality to the feel of poison oak or poison ivy on skin. Every inhalation and every exhalation drove me

Change of inhalers
I have been experiencing shortness of breath and chest tightness (no cough or wheeze) and having to use
salbutamol
more than normal. Peak flow was normal today so she didn't feel my asthma was bad. I also have allergic rhinitis/sinusitis and that is what's causing most of my asthma symptoms.

Coughing more with salbutamol
Hi my 2 year old had an attack a few days ago I'm waiting to see if we can go into be assessed today as he's on steroids but still coughing the
salbutamol
seems to making it worse. They've advised to give it every 4 hours but I think it's really irritating him now straight away.

Dentist
They had to stop while I took puffs of
salbutamol
, waited and more puffs and more. In the end the filling hardened before they were done shaping the top. I had to sit and sit at the dentist til they were happy for me to go. This is the second time this has happened to me.

Neck surgery and asthma
I've increased my preventer inhaler (Clenil) and trying to remember to use the
salbutamol
one more often. Not sure what else I can do to help myself? And has anyone with either normal asthma or CVA had similar surgery and how did you get on?
