ventolin
I have always got the kindest replies to my questions, and I thank you. I have another question. Does anyone use a Ventolin or Pro air albuterol inhaler? If you do, how many times a day do you normally use it?

First hospital admission - worried
Hi Everyone I've been asthmatic for over 18 years (I'm now approaching 40!) Between December 2013 and August 2014 I needed four courses of Pred and antibiotics. But from August 2014 I've had good consultant care and an excellent home action plan. Usual medications are; Seretide 250 2 puffs twice

New medicine Dulera
I was told by my physical therapist that Dulera would be a good inhaler for me. I requested it from the doctor and he gave me a prescription. I read the PDR and decided I do not want to take it due to side effects of osteoporosis, heart trouble, and many other possible side effects such as thrush. I

Mannitol Test
Hi all, hope you are doing OK? Just wondered if anyone has had the Mannitol Test? I had mine today and it produced a negative result. I should be pleased, but am concerned as this result might affect how seriously my consultant takes my breathing problems. Has anyone else had a negative result from the

Lung Doc Visit....
Just got back from a visit with my lung doctor and found my FEV1 was up 2 points to 30; this after having started daily intake of CoQ10 (100 mg) and regular exercise doing yard work and the such. In addition, we found that I was supposed to be, and he supposed I WAS, on albuterol as a rescue measure

Hi everyone, I need some advice please as I am quite new to this! I'm waiting to see an asthma nurse in 3 weeks which feels like a long wait! I have been started on a ventolin salbutamol inhaler temporarily till my appointment. I get constant breathlessness worse on exertion. My peakflow should be 470

Newly Diagnosed - Confused on Prescriptions
Hi Everyone, I've recently been diagnosed with Asthma. Been given a Clenil Modulate 100 preventer and Salbutamol Reliever. I take 4 puffs a day of the Clenil, which will run out just before christmas. My asthma nurse has told me to stop taking the Clenil if I don't have any symptoms after 6 weeks

diagnosed late twenties
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma a year ago - at 27 - i wondered if this is common - because I keep developing even worse symptoms. I only had a very very very mild hayfever or dust mite allerg, barely noticeable, where I grew up (damp west scotland in a carpeted and curtained house) and never asthma

Hi I've been away from the forum for a while and had problems with my email so have had to create a new login - my old username was KaylaCP. Adverse Reaction to Salbutamol
My 13 year old had an asthma attack in August, she had had 12 puffs of her blue inhaler before I took her to A&E. They gave her a further 30 puffs there and sent us home on a reducing regime which meant taking 10 puffs every 4 hours for the next two days. By mid-afternoon the following day she was tight-chested
