Fostair and Spiolta
I was having to have a lot of
Salamol
when I just had Fostair on its own. Would be grateful for any advice, as I will then contact the nurse again. Still hoping Fostair might work, but we're all different.

My Salamol Ignorance
Hi can anyone please tell me how we know when a
Salamol
inhaler has finished and how you safely dispose of the used ones?

Blocked nose.
My reliever (
Salamol
) works fine but then breathing can be impaired by a blocked nose. I recently bought some Sudafed to stop this but the instructions say it shouldn't be used if you have diabetes! Can anyone recommend an effective nasal spray that I can use.

I’m Back
She has dropped my Seretide 125 down to one puff, twice a day and I find I don’t have to use my
Salamol
at all.

More Breathless
I have been taking the Seretide 125 inhaler for 6 days now and I have a
Salamol
inhaler for when needed. I actually feel more out of breath than before I was diagnosed. I catch my breath when talking, I used to be able to walk for miles on the flat, now I am struggling with 20 mins.

Mild COPD with Seretide 125
I have been put on Seretide 125 twice a day and
Salamol
. I spoke to the BLF nurse and she said that, although unusual to be put on steroid medication for mild copd, I may be on that medication to see if I have any inflammation from allergies.

Referral to respiratory?
I'm currently on fostair 200,
salamol
reliever, antihistamines, steroids and montelukast. I'm taking my reliever 6-10 time every 30-60 minutes day and night. I'm back at my GPS Tuesday and they said if it's not improved with this latest course of steroids they will refer me to respiratory.

Flare up
Last year I had a flare up when they changed me from Bricanyl to
Salamol
and had to put me back on a preventative (clenil). That didn’t work so they put me on the Fostsir 100/6. All has been well till the last couple of weeks.

Seretide v Sirdupla
Was fine with Seretide and didn't need the
Salamol
. However since the first puff of Sirdupla, I have been using the
Salamol
several times a day. Have asked GP to switch me back to Seretide and have stopped using the Sirdupla. Fingers crossed.

Inhalars Becotide and Salamol
I'm currently using the brown inhaler (Becotide) and the blue inhaler (
Salamol
) but recently they do not seem to be controlling my asthma too well. What inhalers would be slightly stronger and help control my asthma a bit better, from your experiences. Thanks in advance Regards Steve

New inhaler dispenser. Bit annoyed.
I picked up two new cannisters of salbutamol, except the pharmacist gave me
salamol
easi-breathe instead of normal metered dose ventolin. I wouldn't mind except I didn't realise what it was until I got home. I'm no good at taking MDI without a spacer (always but especially in an attacj) or DPI.

Need some advice about my daughter who’s 2.
She is also having 6 puffs of
salamol
a day. She also has amoxicillin once or twice a month. I really don’t understand asthma, I thought by her having the brown inhaler and the Montelukast it would prevent her from needing the blue inhaler.

Side effects of reliever
A side effect of my reliever medication,
Salamol
is it induces tremors. But I already have what they call 'Essential Tremors,' a nightmare in independent living and using
Salamol
exacerbates it. Is there a reliever which doesn't have this side effect please?

Salamol questions.
Can anyone here tell me if they get any benefit from their
Salamol
inhaler. They say it works after 10 - 15 mins but what use is that to us when we need it most.

Newly Diagnosed late onset Asthma
I take
salamol
fostair 200/6 and Spiriva inhalers everyday. I do not have an "Action Plan". I printed one out at the library and took it to my doctor so he could fill it out for me. He says I do not need one. He says dial 111 if I am unwell. Is this normal? p.s. I also have a duodenal ulcer
