A real-world study of predictors of response to hydroxyurea and switch to ruxolitinib in patients with polycythemia vera
Moreover, the predictors of a complete response (CR) with HU and its prognostic implications are yet to be defined.1 The impact of different types of suboptimal responses in patients switching to
ruxolitinib
(RUX) is also unclear.1 ....

Ruxolitinib
10mgs twice a day and hydroxycarbamide 500mhs every second day. For a month So far so good my platelets have come down to under 500 and all my other counts are normal. So fingers crossed.

Ruxolitinib plus Hydrea
Hi everyone I was supposed to start on IFN but my heamatologist is asking other consultants if
Ruxolitinib
and hydrea can be combined. Was on hydrea for Sixteen years but stopped controlling my platelets. Now on
Ruxolitinib
but can’t tolerate a high dose. She thinking lower dose both.

FDA Grants Fast Track Designation to Selinexor for Myelofibrosis Treatment
We have been highly encouraged by the efficacy and safety data observed to date [in our phase 1 study] with selinexor in combination with
ruxolitinib
in patients with treatment-naïve myelofibrosis and believe selinexor has the potential to shift the treatment paradigm.

Polycythemia vera: 2024 update on diagnosis, risk-stratification, and management
Cytoreductive therapy is reserved for high-risk disease with first-line drugs of choice being hydroxyurea and pegylated interferon-α and second-line busulfan and
ruxolitinib
. In addition, systemic anticoagulation is advised in patients with venous thrombosis history.

Treatment-free remission as a new goal for patients with PV
However, HU and
ruxolitinib
remain adequate options for first-line therapy through the control of disease-associated symptoms and reducing the risk of disease progression, which is especially important in younger patients.

start of my SCT journey
I have started to take
Ruxolitinib
but because of my low platelets 5mg 2 times a day. This will hopefully reduce my spleen. I have been told because of my symptoms I have moved into the higher risk category. I’m on my journey to have a stem cell transplant.

Good news on mutant allele reduction on Jakafi.
I started on hydroxyurea, but as it did nothing to relieve my severe itching, my hematologist moved me on to Jakafi/
ruxolitinib
. Itching ceased almost overnight. I see my hematologist every 3 months now to monitor my counts.

Some results, at last
He is checking with a colleague to see if
Ruxolitinib
will be better for me. I’m going on holiday for a couple of weeks and will see him when I come back to discuss it, and to go through full results.

Ruxolitinib Versus Best Available Therapy for Polycythemia Vera Intolerant or Resistant to Hydroxycarbamide in a Randomized Trial
Upon evaluating molecular responses at a stem/progenitor cell level, a substantial reduction in the clonal burden of JAK2V617F HSPCs in
ruxolitinib
-treated patients achieving a molecular response was demonstrated, consistent with
ruxolitinib
-induced clearance of JAK2V617F stem cells. » CONCLUSION The

First time Ruxolitinib and what to make note of, from Vietnam - a case of interest/study
It was not until last 3 months when my mother complained about her recent motion sickness when driving car to the hospital (which never happened before), a substitute doctor (younger) decided to get her to check NGS and advised her about taking
