My itch was unbearable - I have now been under the RPA transplant ward for 10 months. I went through all the workups for placement on the list, but couldn't take the itching anymore. then was prescribed a drug called Rifadin or Rymicin or also known as Rifampicin. 300mg a day . it took about 7-10 days

Accidental find shows Vitamin C kills tuberculosis
Having seen many claims over the antibiotic properties of vitamin C over the past few years, the real surprise is that this effect has not been noticed before! Again, as the Iodine blog a few minutes ago, the surprise was hearing it on the Today program on Radio 4. Not that the program doesn't cover

If you are on Rifampicin for itch what dose are you on and does it work on taking itch away completely?
I was on this drug for itch a few years back but didn't help and wonder if maybe I wasn't on the right dose or on it for long enough for it to work?

Looking for info on Naltrexone please.
I have had the 'dreaded itch' for 7 months now, antihistamines give slight relief as does Aveeno moisturiser. I have tried Questran which didnt work, Rifampicin which worked but I suffered terrible side effects and my liver tests were really bad. I have been offered Naltrexone by my Consultant which

Rifampicin
Hi, I was in hospital last week for a lung transplant assessment, I'm mrsa and have been for many years. The co-ordinators sent a prescription to my gp for antibiotics for one last ditch attempt at knocking it on the head. I got Trimethoprim, which I've had previously and Rifampicin which I've never
