Does anyone know if Isoniazid affect the mood, making you feel irritable and down ?
Hello, I'm on Isoniazid, getting closer to the 2,5 months, but I'm becoming increasingly more depressed and irritable. Anyone else experiencing these? And I'm dropping things from hands and feel and clumsy, fine motor skills impaired ?! Many thanks.

How do you know if Isoniazid is affecting the nerves?
Hello Everyone, Hope you are having a good day... I started Isoniazid a few weeks ago, and just wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experienced some symptoms of nerve damage due to Isoniazid? I seem to have a little bit of weakness in my hands.. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about this

Any supplements supporting liver while taking Isoniazid?
hello, I have started Isoniazid for 6 months, but I'm 58 yo. Liver risk is apparently higher because of my age. Just wondering if anyone is aware of some supplements that can support the liver? Thanks in advance Rosegardens

Have latent TB, starting tx next week
I had a TB blood test along with other tests because my ophthalmologist was wondering if there was an underlying cause for an eye inflammation. Turns out my TB test was positive. 😳 I think I probably was exposed when I worked at a psychiatric hospital with a high risk population. I plan to start the

more of Dr. Jones' '2 minutes versions'
from Dr Jones' book - Cholestyramine (Questran) is the first line treatment for the itching. If this doesn't work, then taking Rifampicin is the next line of therapy. Even when this is effective, it can make the liver worse. It is very important to check liver function tests after taking Rifampicin

Needing help with deciding on Rifampin vs Isoniazid for Latent TB?
Hello, I have Latent TB, I am 59 years old health professional who worked in hospitals for many years. I'm so worried, I and I dread the idea of taking any of these medication, feels like a constant nightmare, and need to make the final decision now. I tend to have a medication sensitivity and wondering

Silent urinary tract infection
hiya -advice/your experiences requested please. I was fortunate to be given open heart surgery mid feb to mend my heart (valve) and put it in good shape for future ops and quality of life. Fabulous surgeon/team. Recovery tough but was doing ok within 3 weeks of surgery - upto 1-1.5 miles walking. Then

Is this common? fatigue and joint pain / cold hands and feet
On my 3rd month of treatment for active TB, currently on Rifampin, isoniazid, and b6. Looking at 6 months of treatment, maybe 9. I feel fatigued all the time, even with good sleep, exercise, drinking lots of water, eating whole foods and probiotics— like this general feeling of unwell and tiredness.

Tb meds that don't effect eyes
I has optic neuritis due to isoniazid but all the tb meds interacted so I'm off them for number of weeks to recover. However remaining brain tb is causing inflammation and I just don't know what to do. It appears all the tb first line meds and moxifloxacin can cause optic neuritis except pyrazinamide

Rifampin and opioid meds for chronic back pain
I ..66 year old male..have been on rifampin about a two months for latent tb. I have been taking tramadol and hydrocodone for many years for chronic back problems. I am now dealing with tremendous back pain I haven't felt for many years. I read that rifampin lessens the effect of opioid medicine. I would

good morning
I am currently being treated for latent TB with Rifampin and on prednisone 6mg. I was doing so so well before this new med and it seems rifampin decreases the effects of prednisone which I’ve noticed so much lately! Ugh! I feel as if I’m back to square 1 with the PMR. Is anyone aware of how much I

Liver problems
I feel quite sorry for myself. After a weekend of severe pain and vomiting, it turns out my liver isn't doing so well. I'm in hospital atm, and consultant initially thought I had cholecystitis, but that doesn't appear to be the case although the presentation certainly looked that way.Theyve stopped
