I am quietly hopeful, I have been decreasing my Requip but it is a struggle but manageable. I seldom every let myself take more than 1 mg a day for several years, so hoping the nights slowly get better.

Based on my neurologist prescription I am actually taking weekly b1 injection and 07h 1 azilect, 1 requip 2mg, 1 madopar 125mg capsule and i feel fine 12h 1 madopar 62.5mg capsule et 1/4 madopar comprimé and i feel not so fine, a bit slow 17h 1 madopar 62.5mg capsule et 1/4 madopar comprimé, 1 requip

I recently started taking Gabapentin 300 mg before bed with .5 mg of Requip. I have been augumenting for about a year now but usually don't take extra meds unless I am somewhere I can't get up and move around. Just wondering if anyone has tried Acupuncture? Thanks

I say normal because up until recently I’ve used a cocktail of normal (Rasagaline, Requip and Madopar) alongside Mucuna. The Mucuna was my go to stuff if I needed an immediate lift as it worked so quickly.

Today is day 8 off requip. It is the first night I had 3.5 consecutive hours of sleep. Hopefully I will continue to improve.

I am down to 0.125mg of requip. You can barely find the piece of the tablet it’s so small. The last two reductions were tough for the first 48 hours but I still am able to get 3-4 hours of sleep with kratom and gabapentin. Almost to the last step but nervous.

I desperately want to stop the requip. My MD only wants to increase it but I don’t. I wondering if I could stop if I took 100mg of tramadol at night instead of 50 in morning and 50 at night? Maybe move the time of these meds back?

A year ago she was first prescribed pramipexole (0.25 and she takes 1.5 pills) and neurontin to take occasionally, and it first was working great, but in 6 months it got worse, she tried Requip, but it doesn't really help much.

Tramadol for 1 week, Requip for 10 days, Gabapentin for 7 days - rinse and repeat) and what thier experiences were like?

just seen my pulmonary dr. he put me on reequip patch. for last 8 months i have been reducing down off ropinole. finally stopped taking righ after Christmas. insomnia has took over so i have been taking .5 mg ropinole twice a week due to not able to sleep. has anyone tried this patch for rls

Or should I consider moving entirely to Requip? My neurologist said Requip only lasts 4-5 hrs so I’d probably have to take another pill in the middle of the night, which seems like bad news for my sleep.

I take Requip starting around 8pm with 2mg of Requip.

Has anyone had hypersexuality with requip? My Dr seems to think requip didn't have the same side effects as mirapex.

I think Prami and Requip should be banned and everyone switched over to Neupro until they can be comfortably withdrawn from even that.

Although I’m taking other medications including several changes in meds, it begins shortly after taking my dose of requip and may last all night and early mornings. I do not take any other meds within hours of taking requip.

That did not work at the time and I ended up continuing the Requip. So here I am today about to try again. I keep looking at the latest research, hoping to find some glimmer of a cure etc. At least this forum is a place where I can share with fellow sufferers, and try different things.

Never had R.L.S till first hip joint replacement 30 yrs ago ,then knee and elbow done and it started in both legs ,not at the same time switch over when one settled down ,last 5 yrs in arms and shoulders when not in legs ,prescribed Requip then Mirapex finally on Pramipexole which was great for years

I went on requip. After trying gabapentin and who knows what else. Requip was a miracle! The side effects were awful diarrhea for 3 month . I fell asleep even in the middle of conversation, for about 2 years. I had to take it. The side effects were better than RLS! I took requip for 12 years.

Back in the day when I was first starting medications to treat my RLS the doctor started with Mirapex and then Requip. At the the lowest dose of each there was quite a reaction. I can "firmly" say that I could not tolerate these medications because they caused painful priapism.
