ReQuip

They had me on 10 mg's of Valium 3 times a day along with 1 mg of azilect,3 doses carbidopa 25mg/levodopa 100 mg, requip xl 4 mg and 1 carbidopa 50/levodopa 200 cr at bedtime. They seem to think the blackouts were from the valilum and now want to cut them to 5 mg's dailey.

I have read that some people find they lose weight because of the sickness they get with some meds, especially Requip. I also suffer from feeling sick, but have not lost any weight. In fact, I am still gaining weight.

I was wondering if I am getting used to taking the same meds - Stalevo and Requip XL, as I have been taking these for about 3 years. It could be that these need increasing, or that my condition is progressing, although my physiotherapist said that I am stable at the moment.

The question is, should I stay on the patches, or go back to 6 mg Requip until I see the specialist in June?. At least the Requip was managing the Parkinson's. what does everyone think I'd welcome any advice.

A negative effect of stopping the Requip is the occasional leg jerking returned.My Neurologist took me off Requip and prescribed Amantadine in addition to Azilect. AMANTADINE has pharmacological actions as both an anti-Parkinson and an antiviral drug.

He has tremors on his left side and is on Requip, Azilect and a anti-tremor med (don't remember name). We exercise regularly but am just wondering if we should be working with someone now to help prevent progression? Any suggestions and/or info is appreciated

My husband is only taking a 3mg dose at night for bedtime. We will eventually stop it all together if we can but he is having a very hard time. Please tell me your side affects when you got off it so we can know if what he is going through is normal.

I currently take Stalevo 100 three times daily; Requip .5mg three times daily; and Azalect once daily. It took about five years to get the right dodges of medications that work for me. It gets changed from time to time, but right now I am stable on these meds.

Taking sinemet and requip.

I tak 6mg of Requip daily and thought I did not have any problems with this. However, I am now wondering whether cramps, etc. in my lower legs, etc. can be attributed to Requip?

WHen I was diagnosed with PD, the Neuro put me on a low dose of Requip and zelapar. I noticed a change right away- like I could move, had my balance back and an overall good feeling. Six months later, because I was going through a stressful time, He added a anti depressant.

I take Stalevo 5 times a day and 6mg of Requip once per day. I would be interested in getting feedback from people also taking these meds. They seem to suit me most of the time. Today has been a good day. Have been taking meds regularly, even when I have not needed them.

I've just had my PD meds increased, I'm now on 8mg of Ropinirole (Requip XL) per day plus domperidone anti sickness so no nausea as I write YAY!!! :-D :-D Andy :-)

I have been taking Pramipexole for a week and a half, before that Requip xl, 6mg for a year. I have to completely stop taking Prami for a week before starting Sinamet. This is going to be hard as its technically going "cold turkey".

Currently taking Requip XL but they're starting to wear off . Have tried Sinemet but they made my tremour worse !! Doc has recommended trying Madopar (dissolvable ones) but a low dose once a day to start with as i struggle with mornings (don't we all?)

its me again about the dizziness. i think requip is doing it to me but meriplex was worse. im starting in march to be research and will be seeing dr. any suggestions for meds that wont make me dizzy if anyone else has gone through this and have found the right combo of medications?
