L-Dopa or Azilect (rasagiline) positively affecting mental states?
Has anyone tried going off L-DOPA (or carbidopa) or Azilect (
rasagiline
) and noticed a change in thinking such as being more critical of people or more easily irritated?

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
Those who take MAO-B inhibitors (
rasagiline
or selegiline) should eat with moderation – but not eliminate – foods that contain high concentrations of tyramine. MAO-B inhibitors increase tyramine, and the combination could elevate blood pressure.

The doctor has just put me on Rasagiline does anybody know anything about this drug what can I expect?
At the moment I am on mirtazipine 30 mg./day this is suppose to stop anxiety but it does help me sleep at night a bit better, but apart from that it does not seem to help. I have tried the dopamine drugs but they do not affect me. i have no tremor but freeze a lot when trying

Azilect (Rasagiline)
Selegiline and
rasagiline
(brand name Azilect), are generally given in the early stages of PD in order to slow the progression of symptoms of PD.

Does anyone know how my mum can stabilise after going into freefall?
My mum started taking madopar to boost her
rasagiline
but this has coincided with her having diarrohea. She was switched to Sinemet but the diarrohea has persisted so she's now off that too and on
rasagiline
only.
