Productive attack
Because im already on 40 mg of pred, montelukast, fostair,
qvar
and spiriva and still having bad attacks without an infection present or any known allergies he thinks it needs to be investigated a bit more to see what else they can do. I was also told my asthma is Brittle.

Seretide
I looked at the cost of Seretide as compared to
Qvar
on the Internet and there is not much difference in price so it cannot be to do with this.

Spiriva
So as well as being on
Qvar
and Fostair my consultant has put me on Spiriva. Anyone else use this? The nurse at my surgery said she hadn't heard of anyone being on this amount of preventer before for asthma. (I'm also on montelukast and 40mg of preds) Still wheezy 😱

The medication that I use is
Qvar
inhaler 1 puff twice daily ad Serevent inhaler 2 puffs twice a day. I have not had a asthma problem for avery long time and asthma does not restrict my activities.

Pharmacy followup phone call & Is it still considered 'mild' asthma?
I have just been prescribed Flutiform 125, 2 puffs twice a day as my asthma wasn't sufficiently controlled on the preventer alone (previously 400mcg-800mcg per day of
Qvar
for the last 3 months or so).

Easyhaler - Not so Easy
I have also last week been given a brown inhaler to reduce the inflammation (
Qvar
breath activated with a gas cannister and flip lever on the top) and this is much easier to take, although tastes disgusting and even if I wash my mouth out straight after I feel nauseous and can taste it for hours after

Update on Vit C & Ozonetherapy
My GP prescribed an inhaler to try & control the cough
Qvar
50 which is also steroidal. Find this very helpful. Apart from the fatigue I am feeling pretty good. Very impressed by the clinic. Also managed to attend a wedding in the middle of the treatment & ate lots of cake-bad Laura!!

constant oral thrush
I was given Clenil first and then moved to
Qvar
100 at 4 puffs a day in the hope that oral thrush would be less of a problem.

Sudden change after years of controlled asthma
It has always been managed using
qvar
and salbutamol . My trigger was always laughing ( not a bad thing) but my asthma was controlled and did not impact on my quality of life. 5 months ago this changed..

Medication Woes
I have previously been on
QVAR
DMI beclamethasone and about halfway through the inhaler it blocks and I just get propellant. I followed all the advise - no water anywhere near, not stored in the bathroom in fact I even stored it in a sealed cosmetic bag.

Using a spacer
Following advice from the AUK nurses i got my
qvar
autohaler changed to MDI with spacer and they said it might be enough to make a difference to my level of symptoms-control. She told me to monitor for 2-3 weeks, well i'm now nearly 2 weeks on and it hasn't made a jot of difference.

QVAR MDI
Does anyone have problems with
qvar
mdi nozzle getting clogged or blocked? How can the nozzle be cleaned, an overnight soak in water doesn't do it. Poking fine wire into the nozzle can help but its very difficult.
