copd diagnosis
I have had a cough for about a year, my GP tried antibiotics, nasal spray for post nasal drip, nothing helped. I have never smoked. One night I found breathing very laboured, next morning I went to the hospital and they gave me prednisone and an inhaler. I changed my GP and he put me on Doxycycline

I have COPD, and heart failure. I was prescribed Anoro and seem to have developed rapid heart beat. Are there any recommended inhalers?

Hi all you wonderful people
Just thought I would drop a note again. Well it appears I spoke too soon about the benefits of being out of the sand :) The City is surrounded by petroleum plant and usually not a problem but over the last few days it has been very different. The place has had two big fires over the last week (Not on

Relvar Ellipta
Hi everyone, Just started taking Relvar Ellipta ( yesterday ) now I’ve got a dreadful headache that started last night. Has anyone else had a headache from this drug so quickly, and if this is a side effect, will it be permenant or will I eventually become tolerant? Thanks Dx

Back to the inhaler drawing board because Breo sent me to the ER after the 1st use
I finally saw a Pulmonologist on Friday for my recently diagnosed COPD. He said I without a doubt have COPD, but suspects I have had also untreated Asthma for years which has lead to the COPD, so he switched me from the Anoro inhaler my GP had put me on, to Breo. I have a methacholine challenge test

Horrible COPD weekend
Hi folks, it's been raining here for what seems like an eternity and I know the rain has my fibro, swelling, pain all flared up, but this weekend has been horrible also on my breathing. I don't know if the weather, the swelling or what but I've had the hardest time catching my breath this weekend and

Confused and feeling alone
I was told I had COPD about 10 years ago, I have lived a normal life maybe the odd really bad cough in winter but nothing that needed hospital treatment, since February 2017 I have gone down bank quickly, my legs and feet are that swollen I cannot get any shoes on, it hurts to walk, if I stand up and

Hi, all. I have been reading some good things about this relatively new COPD drug Anoro Ellipta. Has anyone tried it? And, if so, what are your thoughts? I currently am taking Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort, with Ventolin as my rescue inhaler, and I am finding that I'm using the Ventolin more than I

Confused
When I get up on a morning, just going to the toilet and then downstairs, my breathing is shocking. Today I'm wondering if I'm starting with another infection yet the phlegm is pretty much clear (few black spots in it) HOW do I recognise an infection ?? Sat I hoovered the car out, yesterday visited

Just diagnosed with moderate COPD
This is my first post and wanted to join a community where I could get information about COPD. I am 77 years old and was first told by the VA that I had emphysema. This was about 20 years ago. They put me on some meds and and then I was put on Respimat, Combivent Respimat and albuterol rescue inhaler

Fed up being breathless
Surely with all the knowledge that we have, somebody could come up with a better solutiuon to the treatment for copd and asthma. Instead we are stuck with the same old treatments of steroid inhalers and a few tablets that don't really work. Or if there is tablets that work I haven't been offered them
