Quinapril

(Quinapril -- a hypertension medicine also used in heart failure - which is an ACE inhibitor.)

Betaloc (a beta blocker) quinapril, aspirin venlafaxine and bendrofluazide. From reading, betaloc and venlafaxine can exasperate restless legs. My doctor says he isn't touching the venlafaxine.

From searching the web, I read that some doctors prescribe ACE inhibitors (lisopril, quinapril, etc) for CKD. I used a drug interaction checker and it is recommended to not take an ACE Inhibitor along with a Cox 2 Inhibitor (Meloxicam, Celebrex, etc.) Just a heads up.

I have had my tablets changed from Quinapril 40mg in the morning and 20mg evening (due to control high blood pressure ) now changed to Ramitril 5mg once a day .I checked the differences and the conversion i found online was 5mg of Ramitril is equivalent to 20mg of Quinapril .The max dose of Ramitril

My doc prescribed Quinapril for the blood pressure, but I almost feel like he's just putting a band-aid on this new problem. (I'm 49, I eat well, not ever weight, non smoker). I was just prescribed Armour to see if this makes a difference. ANY advice would be helpful. Thank you
