PSA Accuracy/Variation Help Needed
For example, If the tolerance is +/- 0.05, then my actual
PSA
could be anywhere between 0.18 and 0.28. Does anyone know this number for
PSA
tests? Secondly, can anyone tell me about the variation in
PSA
numbers resulting from multiple tests?

Need Help with Next Gen ADT
My
PSA
last month was undetectable. I had a bilateral orchiectomy in February but was also on Erleada which I stayed on until recently. So what's changed is that I also have Stage I Multiple Myeloma. Erleada and Xandti are both Contraindicated with my MM protocol.

At last I've come to a decision.
Hi all, Well after heaps of research and asking questions and discussing everything with my RO and Urologist about treatment for my 4+4
PSA
8 PCa, I have decided to go the path of EBRT and HT.

Are PSMA negative mets usually castrate resistant?
I had 2 clear PSMA-PETs (at a
PSA
of 2 & then 4) so Dr. Scholz recommended I get an FDG PET. Low and behold 3 decent sized mets showed up. In my subsequent research it seems like all the published articles describe the PSMA negative mets as being castrate resistant.

Now for something completely different
If you are in the earlier group start requesting a
PSA
test (not the most accurate test) but its all we have- at 50. Don't wait. I just hope the anaesthetic doesn't stir up the dragon (I'm Welsh) from its lair.

Prostatitis advice
PSA
over the year has varied between 5 and 10, and the last test a couple of months ago was around 7. Any advice please on what else he could try to avoid another invasive procedure? Currently his GP has issued another prescription for the yukky Ciprofloxacin. Thanks in advance.

Paying it forward for folks whose partner is undergoing treatment.
With a
PSA
of 73, he was quickly and thoroughly scanned and biopsied to determine he has Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Many of you know that shock and horror. As the months have gone by and we rode this unfortunate roller coaster he is stable and we are good.
