Jakafi out of stock
Hi all fellows in MPN, I just met my doc and informed that Malaysia especially Kuala Lumpur hospitals out of stock for Jakafi and
Pegasys
. If you have a plan to see your doc in very near time, pls ensure to ask more for your buffer stock. Cheers

Eye problems with Pegasys for ET
I began
Pegasys
and immediately had severe dry eyes in the mornings. Three weeks into treatment my vision worsened. I saw a retina specialist and have been diagnosed with macula pucker. Has anyone experience eye problems while on this med?

Pegasys Update 1.0
In spring 2023 my consultant asked if I'd consider Hydroxy or
Pegasys
to see if it helped. Being a relative youngster I didn't expect this due to age and risk. I certainly didn't expect
Pegasys
to be on the table. Like many MPNers we do our research. Even if it's years down the line.

When I was dx with PV I took
Pegasys
from April 22 @ 45mg then 60mg then 90mg fortnightly. (On Jakavi since August 23) So took
Pegasys
for about 16 months After a couple of months on
Pegasys
I started to experience close vision problems which could not be corrected with glasses.

First Injection of Pegasys
I FINALLY got approved for
Pegasys
, and am to pick it up at the pharmacy by Wednesday. My question is does the first injection happen in the Drs. office, or at home?? Were you given physical instructions for how to give the injection?

When on a weekly dose of Pegasys is it ok to occasionally alter the day you inject?
Hi everyone, I’m about to try
Pegasys
in a few weeks time on a weekly dose of 45. If I get any unpleasant side effects I wondered if occasionally it’s ok to put back the usual day of injecting by 24 hours if I had something special on the day of the injection.

Scared about possible side effects of Pegasys!
I have my haematologist appointment in ten days time and I’m going to ask for shared care with Guys hospital and the possibility of changing from hydroxycarbemide to
Pegasys
for various reasons. I am concerned about how side effects of
Pegasys
might impact my life.

Interferon effects
Hi,I've started my journey with
Pegasys
about 5 weeks ago. I am on 45mcg weekly. Before
Pegasys
my platelets were close to 600 and HCT around 0.55 Today my platelets dropped to 297 and HCT to 0.47 in just 5 or 6 weeks. Should I be happy or concern for fast adjustment ?

Good News: Pegasys finally working! Bad News: Pulmonary embolus!
If it hadn’t been for the support and shared experiences of others in this forum, I would have lost hope that the
Pegasys
would eventually work. Thank you for keeping me hopeful! I know there are others out there struggling with waiting for the
Pegasys
to work. Hang in there!

ET :Hydroxy to Pegasys
The alternative drug in Australia is the injection
Pegasys
(also on our PBS - hence low cost), which I would like to try. Could anyone who made this switch please give me an idea of their success or4 otherwise, especially weight. The latter is my only drawback re continuing with the hydroxy.

Pegasys and autoimmune response
I have been taking
Pegasys
for little less than a year at a fairly low dose. I had some warning signs of migraine (painful to move head) a few times, which I attributed to dehydration, but then had a vicious migraine for 2 days within 7 days of a
Pegasys
injection (45 mcg).

Back on Pegasys
Went off of
Pegasys
for almost 6 weeks with my MPN expert's grace as I was in haematological remission from ET (with JAK2) on 45ug every two weeks. I had hoped that the back pain, fatigue and nausea after eating a regular sized meal, would go away.

Approved or Trials of RBC lowering drugs?
I'm currently taking about 145mcg's of
Pegasys
and my neutrophils just dipped to .87 while my HCT is still in excess of 45. I've been at this dose for several months. HCT has been climbing by .1 or .2 per month while the other numbers continue to drop.

Autoimmune issues -- should I try Pegasys?
Also, I'm interested in the possibility of remission that
Pegasys
can offer. Note that I have discussed this with my regular hematologist and an MPN specialist. They seem to be willing for me to try the

GPwanted to put me on Statins but Haem said Statins don’t go with
Pegasys
, I cannot see any contraindications between
Pegasys
and Statins in the BNF I am currently off
Pegasys
due to the pains I am experiencing which are actually worse than when I was taking it.

Interferon alpha
The 2 mentioned are
Pegasys
and Besremi and was hoping someone on the same could explain the benefits they believe they get versus the side affects (I understand the affects will vary from person to person).

Interferon dose.
My question is was he right to immediately double the dose as everything I've read about
Pegasys
says go low and slow as it's a slow reacting drug which shows it's effectiveness over time.
