a flutter ablation versus a fib ablation
Three years ago I had a
pacemaker
being my pulse rate, went down to 25. I’ve tried Tyson and that worked get me back in rhythm but I had to go off because my QT number was very long and they were concerned about sudden death. They put the
pacemaker
in put in and now I’m in a flutter.

Hypo type episode while on Forxiga /Dapaglaflozin, waiting for pacemaker upgrade. Any experiences with this drug anyone?
He says I can come off it when the new
pacemaker
is fitted. Now the waiting begins. I had already emailed my AF specialist and he had put me on the priority list for a
pacemaker
upgrade even before I got the HF clinic. He also told me to stop Flecainide and continue Bisprolol.

after the pacemaker
If I need a stent, can this be done if you have a
pacemaker
? 3. Could I have AF than angina? so confused, so fed up, so grateful for this site.

CRT pacemaker. Post op
Hi, This may sound ridiculous but has anyone had any left hand/wrist pain 2 months down the line of having a CRT
pacemaker
fitted? I think it’s nerve pain as the
pacemaker
has bedding in. It feels like I have broken my wrist.

Can heart problems be hereditary ?
I had a dream a few nights ago that one of our daughters had to go to hospital with cardiac symptoms , a few hours later I ended up in hospital too with the sane , in the dream I had a
pacemaker
as I do in real life and my daughter was asked if there was a family history of heart problems .

Hip Replacement
Has anyone had hip replacement surgery with a
pacemaker
. I have already had a hip replaced but that was before being diagnosed with Heart Failure and having a
pacemaker
. Just wondered if it is possible as I was told I would probably need the other hip replaced at some point.

A “success story” , finally.
And in July 2023 I have a
pacemaker
insertion then in November had the AV Node ablation. It was needed a few weeks/months to deal with the heart's rate adjustment. And today I am happily feeling better than for long time. While the AF is still active it could not affect my heart function.

Persistant AF and non-connected surgical procedures.
I had a telephone pre-op 10 days ago and when I explained I had a
pacemaker
and was in AF the nurse said she was cancelling the procedure until after my AF review at the end of April. I'm at a loss to see what difference this will make as the rate of AF seems controlled by meds.

Afib induced syncope update from #chinkoflight
After all the full diagnostics the likely outcome will be ablations/
pacemaker
. All the experience shared has been helpful to hear this. Of course I am now on a mandatory 6 month driving ban which is a huge blow and will seriously impact my lifestyle.

Advice on pacemakers
The GP and Cardiologist have both suggested a
pacemaker
due to my low heart beat - usually in the low 40s but has been know to go into the 30s. Are any more suitable for people with AF than others? Any advice welcome.

Hello Everyone !!
In mid Jan 2024, I had an episode which was recorded on the loop recorder which showed my heart had stopped for 14 seconds and I was admitted straight away for a
pacemaker
. At the current time, am very shocked and surprised 😳 and sore but relieved that I have some explanation.

Disappointment after Ablation Number 4
Is a

the inevitable next step? I’d be so grateful for any words of wisdom from fellow sufferers.

early concerns/ paranoia
There was a 5 week delay in getting a MRI because I have a
pacemaker
(approved but very few labs will do it). My urologist’s office says they dont discuss the urine test until the MRI results are in (still another 10 days).

pacemakers and ICDs
Also do you choose as to which
pacemaker
or ICD AND would it be better to go private for this rather than go through NHS and if so where to get it done? All ideas welcome.

No treatment offered for A F
Should she be asking about any of those treatments or a
pacemaker
? Her general health is really good .She seems to have been told very little about her condition apart from how to control her warfarin levels. Or is it typical for the NHS in Wales?

~AV Node ablation update~
There are other readings too that are not normal, but GP believes the
pacemaker
( Feb 2024) was enough for body to cope with and this AV Node ablation has been too much too soon - I juggle a few other health issues alongside which added to the mix.
